What you'll see and do

  1. Green Era Travel

Meet your guide at your hotel in Siem Reap at 8 am. Depart in the morning heading north towards Kulen Mountain through approximately a 2-hour drive in an air-conditioned vehicle.  Enjoy the scenic ride along the way as you pass through local villages and verdant tropical forest.  You will visit Cambodia’s biggest Reclining Buddha carved on sandstone. The temple is located on top of the hill and can be reached through a flight of steps.  Next you will set off to the sacred river of 1000 Lingas.  The riverbed is interestingly carved with numerous lingas, a phallic symbol of the Hindu god, Shiva.  You will also see some rock carvings along the river depicting Hindu deities.  You will continue through another sacred site, the Phnom Kulen Waterfalls.  Calm your senses by watching the waterfall tumbling down the rocks.  You will have time to wade in its basin and opt to cool-off from the midday sun by swimming on its pool. Discover and learn more about the historical and cultural significance of Phnom Kulen as your expert guide walks you through each of these landmarks. Stop for lunch (at your own account) at a local restaurant along the way before heading back to your hotel.

Great day trip!!

Our guide Siv kuysin was great! We did th3 mountain and Banteay Srei. This was a surprisingly awesome day tour. I would say we enjoyed this as much as Angkor Wat though not as epic. Banteay Srei was one of the most beautiful temples I have seen while traveling.

Kulen waterfalls and 1000 lingas river near Siem Reap

Very good day trip outside Siem Reap, discovering the landscape (mountain and waterfall) and cambodgien temples. Our guide, Bunrong, fluent in English, was very knowledgeable and nice to us.

Wonderful relaxing day

We had a wonderful day with Bunrong at Kulen Waterfalls and the reclining Buddha. He was kind, knowledgeable, and made the whole day easy and enjoyable. We really appreciated learning more from him along the way. Loved the waterfalls — it was so refreshing to dip in the cool water :) And visiting the Buddha was such a peaceful experience. We would definitely recommend him as a guide!

Kulen Waterfall and 1000 Lingas River Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siem Reap.

How much does Kulen Waterfall and 1000 Lingas River Private Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $32 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siem Reap usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Kulen Waterfall and 1000 Lingas River Private Tour take?

+

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siem Reap is not rushed.

Is Kulen Waterfall and 1000 Lingas River Private Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 65 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siem Reap, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Kulen Waterfall and 1000 Lingas River Private Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Kulen Waterfall and 1000 Lingas River Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Kulen Waterfall and 1000 Lingas River Private Tour?

+

Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siem Reap can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siem Reap and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Kulen Waterfall and 1000 Lingas River Private Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Siem Reap within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Siem Reap?

+

On Outty we rank every Siem Reap experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Small-Group and Guide tours, Angkor Wat full Day 'Small Group with sunset & Tour Guide, Angkor Wat Sunrise or Sunset Tour with Guide from Siem Reap. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
