    Do NOT waste your time!

We were brought by bus (fine) to Charmonix were we were led to a ski shop that didn't have enough gear for all participants. Then the "guide" left us. Just bailed. We didn't have ski gear and she just left. Eventually, enough people returned their gear and we were allowed to go but if you expect anyone to show you were to go, what line to get in, what bus to ride, you are in for a world of hurt. You are left completely alone. We managed to figure it out and got to the correct slope but when it was time to go, we couldn't find the pick up spot and since we had no guide and hadn't seen her in 8 hours it was problematic. Luckily we ran into some other folks and got to the pick up spot in the middle of town which is NOT the same spot where we were dropped off which added to the confusion. Then we were told that our bus was too full and we had to switch busses. All in all it was a hassle of a day, not relaxing, and expensive for what it was. I would not do it again and I would not recommend it to anyone else.

Made the best out of bad weather

Made a great ski day out of the worst conditions. When we got there we were informed that the mountain we paid for was close due to avalanche precautions, however, Norman recommended a mountain 15 minutes away. He drove our group there and waited for us to finish. Cannot recommend this enough, a ton of fun. Ask for Norman!

Response from the operator: Good morning, thank you very much for you review. We are gld you had fun even with our mountains weather which can be sometimes moody. We will pass your message to Norman. Best regards

    Wonderful place but Poor guidance

The place is amazing, however, it would have been much better if the guide had explained more about trip, he left us without showing us where to go after taking the Ski tools !

Response from the operator: Good morning, thank you for your review. We will pass your comment to the guide team. We hope you still enjoyed the skiing in this famous resort. Best regards

Make your life easier with a ski day from Geneva

Extremely easy to book. Perfect tracking via Tripadvisor. Quality of skis. But management “a little complicated” on site with the shuttles of Chamonix between tracks, rental and rally point for the bus. Some upstream information would have been desirable

Response from the operator: Bonjour, Merci pour votre commentaire. Nous faisons remonter l'information. Nous espérons néanmois que la neige était bonne :)

Ski the French Alps: Chamonix Day Trip from Geneva: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Geneva.

How much does Ski the French Alps: Chamonix Day Trip from Geneva cost?

    +

Prices start at $280 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Geneva usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Ski the French Alps: Chamonix Day Trip from Geneva take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Geneva is not rushed.

Is Ski the French Alps: Chamonix Day Trip from Geneva worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Geneva, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Ski the French Alps: Chamonix Day Trip from Geneva?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Ski the French Alps: Chamonix Day Trip from Geneva suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Ski the French Alps: Chamonix Day Trip from Geneva?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Geneva can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Geneva and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Ski the French Alps: Chamonix Day Trip from Geneva start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Geneva within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Geneva?

    +

On Outty we rank every Geneva experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Award-Winning Geneva Chocolate &Old Town Tour (3h), Chamonix Mont-Blanc Full Day Guided Tour, Gruyères Cheese & Chocolate Small-Group Tour from Geneva. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Geneva?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Geneva?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
