More haste less speed
Great transport picked up local to hotel. We soon realised that the guide was not in the best of moods when he announced to the group that "if you want to see everything you are going to have to walk quicker. This was fine for the younger more agile visitors but the majority of the group were over 60 yrs old and a lots had obvious disabilities. The trip felt hurried and the quality from the the headsets via the guide was a challenge as he walked on we and several others became out of range and therefore couldn't hear the commentary. Several of the group mentioned this at various stages but no adaptations were made. We and others suggested that something like the city golf buggies would be good for the long walks between different sections or even benches to sit for a couple of minutes

Seekrakow Tour Company visit to Auschwitz Birkenau
This review is about Seekrakow as a tour company and not the Auschwitz Birkenau site experience. We booked via our travel agent in the UK. Seekrakow have very good customer service and communications set up, so we were fully informed of any changes to collection times and location. The collection in Krakow is a bit chaotic due to the volume of tour companies using the same location; its on a busy single lane main road and the bus stop can only hold x3 buses at a time. Transport to and from both sites was fine and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Our experience of Auschwitz and how the site is now run will be part of a sperate review as this is for Seekrakow, who I fully recommend for engaging in any tours in and around Krakow. I will just say that Auschwitz Birkenau now appears to be treated like any other historical site and is a money making enterprise and not about paying your respects or taking time to reflect at the site of a human tragedy; you just don't get given any time within an organised tour. Auschwitz 1 was extremely busy and the tours are conducted at pace. So if you aren't fit or have any injuries or disabilities, then you will struggle to keep up and will probably be overtaken by other tour parties.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your feedback and for taking the time to write such a detailed review! 😊 We are glad to hear that you were pleased with our customer service, clear communication, and driver transport. Your recommendation of SeeKrakow means a lot to our entire team! We also really appreciate your constructive notes regarding the morning pickup point in Krakow. We are constantly reviewing our logistics to make the process as comfortable as possible for our guests despite the heavy traffic. Regarding the tour pace, official Museum guides are required to follow specific daily schedules set by the site management, but we fully understand your perspective on having time for personal reflection. We hope you had a good stay in Krakow overall! If you ever decide to visit our city again, we would be delighted to welcome you on another SeeKrakow tour. 🌿

Disappointed
There were 7 of us in our party party and we’re all totally disappointed in the whole day the coach arrived it was fine the driver polite the courier inappropriately dressed in our opinion not once did we see him make an attempt to help anyone on or off the bus we travelled for 2 hours he never gave us any information about the area we were travelling through or about the country in general about 15 minutes before we arrived at the site he told us what was going to happen when we got there we meet our guide who’s English was very poor we all had trouble understanding him He seemed to be in a rush all the time at one point he left about 10 people behind and another member of the party had to tell him there were also to many tour going on at the same time and groups were getting in each others way between the two tours there was no time to really eat lunch or have a drink the courier told us we were late how dare he if we had gone any quicker we would have been at jogging speed the same thing happened in Birkenau all rush on the way back the courier and the driver talked constantly totally unacceptable all in all a very disappointing day

How long does Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau Official Guide and Two-Way Transport take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.
Is Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau Official Guide and Two-Way Transport worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 497 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau Official Guide and Two-Way Transport?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau Official Guide and Two-Way Transport suitable for kids and families?
+

How far in advance should I book Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau Official Guide and Two-Way Transport?
+
Around 174 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau Official Guide and Two-Way Transport start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krakow?
+
On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow to Auschwitz Birkenau Guided Tour with Transfer and Ticket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krakow?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krakow?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
