What you get
About this experience
Travel from Krakow to the small town of Oświęcim to visit the largest Nazi concentration camp complex from World War II. Learn the horrifying story of the more than 1.3 million victims who lost their lives at Auschwitz and Birkenau and pay your respects. The first part of your trip is a 1.5-hour visit to the Auschwitz I camp to see the permanent exhibition in the former prisoners' barracks. Afterwards, spend 40 minutes (self-guided option) at Auschwitz II Birkenau, the largest of the more than 40 camps and sub-camps that made up the Auschwitz complex. See remnants of the crematories, the unloading ramp, remaining barracks and the monument dedicated to the last victims of the camp. Please note depending on the time of year, you may visit Birkenau camp first before then visiting Auschwitz 1 camp. For the self guided option you will have use of a guidebook and map in your chosen language. Your company Tour Leader does not enter the museum with you.

Decent money to value ratio
Everything went ok.but felt a little rushed in Birkenau part as the Museum leaves little time for non-guided visitors

Absolutely unreliable!
We were cancelled the day before without any reason, so we could not visit Auschwitz because it was of course booked everywhere!! Just disappointing and really bad!
Response from the operator: Es tut uns sehr leid, dass Ihre Tour in letzter Minute abgesagt werden musste, aber aufgrund von Einschränkungen im Museum konnten wir Ihnen keine Eintrittskarte ausstellen.

Auschwitz trip 100% recommend.
Picked up at 6.:30am from our hotel as we were booked for the first English guided tour at 9.30am. Our driver was so friendly and polite and couldn’t do any more for us. He offered to take us to a service station for a restroom break/coffee stop on our way to Auschwitz which again a good reason to use the company. We were the only people on our trip, myself and son which we preferred so we weren’t having to stop at several hotels. I tend to suffer from travel sickness with several stops so I’m willing to pay the extra cost. Our driver gave us the information we needed when we arrived regarding the free shuttle bus to Birkenhau as I hadn’t used the shuttle on my previous visit. Our super driver walked us straight to the entrance although he had already given us our name printed tickets, which I appreciated wasn’t necessary but small personal touches go a long way and this is the reason I will use this company again when visiting Krakow. We arranged to meet after the tour of museum and camp which was just over 3 hours. A smooth ride back to our hotel with ConnectbyKrakow. Highly recommended and a pleasure from my initial query. There are too many ‘tour guides’ horror stories so if you’re like my family and would prefer a seamless experience from start to finish albeit paying a little more than the other companies I can’t recommend them enough. We paid a deposit initially and our balance was paid on the day. Highly recommended and a huge thank you.

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Krakow Auschwitz Birkenau Tour with Transfer: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.
How much does Krakow Auschwitz Birkenau Tour with Transfer cost?
+
Prices start at $120 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Krakow Auschwitz Birkenau Tour with Transfer take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.
Is Krakow Auschwitz Birkenau Tour with Transfer worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Krakow Auschwitz Birkenau Tour with Transfer?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Krakow Auschwitz Birkenau Tour with Transfer suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Krakow Auschwitz Birkenau Tour with Transfer?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Krakow Auschwitz Birkenau Tour with Transfer start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krakow?
+
On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krakow?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krakow?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
