    Não contrate a Krakow Direct

A agência Krakow Direct é péssima e não precisa de turista. Eles disseram que entraram em contato comigo, que não é verdade, e perdi o passeio que tanto almejava. Não tenho palavras para descrever o descaso deles. Krakow Direct is a terrible agency that clearly doesn't care about tourists. They claimed to have contacted me—which isn't true—and I missed out on the tour I had really been looking forward to. I have no words to describe their utter disregard.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed and that you were unable to join the tour you had been looking forward to. However, we would like to clarify that we did contact you multiple times regarding the tour arrangements, and the relevant information was sent to the contact details provided with the reservation. We understand that you may not have received or noticed these messages, but we cannot agree that no contact was made, as our communication records show otherwise. We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused and appreciate you sharing your concerns.

    Auschwitz Birkenau Private Tour

Very reliable tour operator. Avoid at all costs Get My Guide. They cancelled our trips at the very last minute and were far more expensive than Krakow Direct.

Krakow visit to see what the German SS were responsible for 1940/45

Our tour started from our Hotel in Krakow to Auschwitz -Birkenau. Our driver Max who was really friendly, knowligable, informitive and spoke perfect English, who prepared us for an excellent tour, he played us a film on our way to the Death Camps taken by the Russian Army only days after liberating the camp, the film which lasted 50 minutes showed footage of carnage which we have never seen before. Auschwitz was built in the 1920's the buildings were Barracks for the Polish Army. Birkenau was very moving even though we were fully aware of what took place there, the area and size of Birkenau made such an impact.

1.1 million people walked in and never walked out. Take a moment.

Our private visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau with KrakowDirect was an experience we will never forget, and we were very grateful we decided to do the trip as a private tour. From the moment we were collected in a new Mercedes van, our driver, Konrad, was professional, punctual and welcoming. He was also incredibly knowledgeable about Poland and its history, and it was a pleasure chatting with him throughout the journey as he shared more about the country’s history and what it was like growing up in Poland. He ensured everything ran smoothly, allowing us to focus on the significance of the day rather than the logistics. At the memorial, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and presented the history with compassion, dignity and respect. The tour was educational, confronting and deeply moving. Walking through the camps where so much unimaginable suffering took place is something that cannot truly be understood until you stand there yourself. Seeing the conditions, the cramped barracks, punishment cells and remnants of the machinery of genocide, along with the thousands of personal belongings left behind, makes the scale of what happened painfully real. Seeing mountains of shoes, luggage, spectacles, cooking pots and other possessions, and learning about the human hair that was removed from prisoners, was particularly confronting. Each item belonged to a person, a family and a life that was taken away. Learning about the systematic cruelty inflicted on innocent people, the dehumanisation of prisoners and the selection process they faced upon arrival was heartbreaking. Then standing at Birkenau beside the railway tracks, where families arrived often unaware of the fate awaiting them, made it impossible not to imagine the fear, confusion and heartbreak experienced by so many. It is difficult to describe the emotions that accompany this visit. It is heavy. It is confronting. It is heartbreaking. The overwhelming feeling is not simply sadness, but disbelief that human beings could inflict such calculated cruelty upon other human beings, with such complete disregard for life, dignity and compassion. This is not a tour you enjoy in the traditional sense, but it is one that everyone should experience to better understand one of history’s darkest chapters and the importance of ensuring it is never forgotten. Thank you, Konrad, our wonderful guide, and the entire KrakowDirect team for providing such a well-organised, knowledgeable and respectful experience. Choosing the private tour made the day feel particularly personal and gave us the space to absorb and reflect on everything we were seeing.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your incredibly thoughtful and detailed review. We’re deeply grateful that you took the time to share your experience, especially regarding such a significant and deeply moving visit. We’re delighted to hear that Konrad made the journey comfortable and informative, and that his professionalism, punctuality, and knowledge of Poland and its history added to your experience. We’re also pleased that the private format gave you the time and space to reflect on the visit without having to worry about the logistics. Your kind words about the guide’s compassionate, dignified, and respectful approach mean a great deal to us, and we will be sure to share your appreciation with Konrad and the team. Your feedback helps us continue improving our services. Thank you for choosing our company, and we hope to welcome you again on another tour in the future.

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 226 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

    +

Around 79 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Krakow?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
