This was a great tour....
This was a great tour. Paddle boarding was quite hard in the waves, maybe this should be stated as we had done paddle boarding before and did struggle with it. The tour guides were great and very helpful and made the tour fun. They made sure nobody was left behind and we felt very safe. The plankton and clear paddle boarding was very cool!

Not what we expected, but still enjoyable
We loved the guides but the bioluminescence was underwhelming. We expected something more spectacular than what we saw. Fortunately, we had a beautiful sunset though.
Response from the operator: Hello ka, we are so glad you had a beautiful sunset and enjoyed your time with our guides, we always try to give 100% to our customers. If you did not enjoy the plankton we feel very sorry for that ka. It is a thing of the nature and unfortuneley sometimes people have a different expectation. We are very sorry if this is the reason for your low rating of our experience and if it wasn't spectacular for you ka. We wish you a good travel in Thailand and hope you will enjoy our country 5 star experience ka. Best wish, Team Freebird

Worth it !!!
Great short trip at a beautiful spot near Krabi. The islands were beautiful, the lit up paddle boards were cool and the staff were great. Highly recommend the trip as it was a short boat ride from Aonang Beach and was only a couple hours out of the day. Well worth it
Response from the operator: Thank you so much Khun Rob! We are so happy you enjoyed your experience with us ka :). We will be here on Railay wait to welcome you back again soon. All our warm wishes from Team Freebird

Unique and incredible!
Such a unique and incredible experience!! The bioluminescent plankton were definitely the highlight, but we got to see other cool stuff too!! We got to swim through sea caves, explore the limestone cliffs and look at all the cool fish (& a jellyfish). The tour guides (I had Mina, Leem and Birk) were also amazing - super friendly and helpful during the whole tour!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this awesome review! We are so glad that you loved your experience. Every night is different, so it's always a new adventure! We really hope you make your way back to Railay soon, we'll be here to welcome you :) Best wishes and thank you so much for supporting small businesses like ours!!! The Freebird Team

Truly memorable!
A whole lot of fun! At first I was uneasy about paddling out on my own SUP with lightning in the distance and rocky waves - but joined with 3 experienced guides, they were very helpful. The kayaks struggled just as much, if not more with waves spilling into them - almost sinking one. The guides ensured the group stuck together, helped propel any struggling paddlers and scooped water out the back of the kayaks to prevent them from sinking. Overall, the bioluminescence was magical, fish were jumping all around our LED lit SUPs and kayaks. Made for a truly memorable experience. Thank you to the guides who kept our spirits up and looked after our safety despite a looming thunderstorm that night.

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Krabi Stand-Up Paddleboard Illuminated Night Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krabi.
How much does Krabi Stand-Up Paddleboard Illuminated Night Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $56 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krabi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Krabi Stand-Up Paddleboard Illuminated Night Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krabi is not rushed.
Is Krabi Stand-Up Paddleboard Illuminated Night Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 61 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krabi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Krabi Stand-Up Paddleboard Illuminated Night Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Krabi Stand-Up Paddleboard Illuminated Night Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Krabi Stand-Up Paddleboard Illuminated Night Tour?
+
Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krabi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krabi and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Krabi Stand-Up Paddleboard Illuminated Night Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krabi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krabi?
+
On Outty we rank every Krabi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Phi Phi Islands Tour with Lunch from Krabi, Phi Phi Early Bird & 4 Islands - Day Tour by Speedboat From Krabi, Railay and 4-Island Sunset Speedboat Cruise with Night Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krabi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krabi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
