  3. Kompong Phluk

after we have crossed the great lake we enter into a world time seems to have forgotten, very quite flooded forests and small rivers are explored in either our traditional long tail boat or we use smaller boats to row into the forest(depending on the lake levels) and into the small stilted villages township of Kompong Phluk, our guide was actually born in this village so can explain what its like for the locals to go about there daily lives, this village is cut off from the land by high water for 6 months of the year, so schools, police stations, homes, shops ect are either raised up some 10 meters in high or are indeed floating, the Monks Pergola and training school is also worth a visit, awesome artwork inside, this is also the home of the flooded forest, again 6 months in flood and 6 months dry so we can take a stroll into this very cool place or a small boat, after the tour our air conditioned transport will be waiting to take you back to your hotel or guesthouse

This tour must be very nice!

I must begin by saying I didn’t take this tour, but read all that is including and if you are afraid of doing this on your own this is a very good option with all included! I am sharing some of my pictures of the town and a school with volunteers that teach English! I humbly suggest you bring notebooks to give personally to the children here to motivate them to continue learning another language!! If you seem them through their eyes you will see How Happy they All are and how fortunate to live so in Community with Nature! Something we all want and cherish! #planforamiracle #lawofattractionphotos follow my travels around the world here, on You Tube and Facebook under this same name Upekkhapr Sylvia Fernandez and Start Living the Life You Were Born To Live!

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siem Reap?

How many days do you need in Siem Reap?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
