Nice tour of the island. Like visiting 2 different worlds.

Our Viking cruise ship moored in the bay and we were tendered to the dock. Our tour was very interesting and included visits to Buddhist temples and shrines and remnants of a traditional coconut harvesting operation. This island has much of the traditional living, harvesting and fishing aspects of life, yet the rapid changes occurring from the development of high end tourist resorts- Four Seasons, etc. These have been highlighted by the filming of "The White Lotus" television show drawing more tourist interest in the island. There is development occurring along the shore of additional resorts to foster a growing tourism industry. This pulls locals from subsistence and agricultural living to working in the service industry. I feel fortunate to have seen some of the natural areas remaining. It reminded me a bit of Maui and Kauai 40 years ago before tourism replaced agriculture. Taking a tour is a great way to experience this culture. The Buddhist temples and structures were very impressive.

Saw most of Ko Samui in a one day shore trip excursion

Great Tour around the island. Our guide “Tra” (sorry for the spelling) took us around the entire island and gave us lot of history and background information on what we were seeing. From coconut factory to all the religious sites to a great lunch with a fantastic view. Highly recommend this tour and our guide. Also felt very safe with the drivers skills.

    The best cruise ever!

The tour company provided a thoroughly professional service and great experience. They took care of every detail. The boat was luxurious and spacious with as much food and drink as you would need during the day. The kayaks were the best quality and the tour people provided us with guidance and information during the day. They were courteous and polite, and nothing was too much trouble for them. The snorkeling was breathtaking and we felt safe at all times. We would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone from couples to families. There was something for everyone.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to review us following your tour to Angthong National Marine Park. Our exquisite tours are unique among Koh Samui’s offerings which we believe all guests should experience: fun activities, superb dining, and friendly interaction from our crew. Our team is dedicated to delivering an amazing experience that will meet or beat your expectations. From the moment you contact us until you are back at your accommodation, we endeavor to deliver the best experience you had ever had on a tour! Our boat crew has had many years of experience working with visitors to Koh Samui. We train our crew to understand the importance of customer care, and the importance of safety in and out of the water. Our tours visit the Marine Park's best attraction when no one is around! Exclusive to our tours, Kayaking at the secret lagoon makes for a fabulous kayaking experience. Located at the most remote corner of the park we explore the island by kayaks we carry onboard and follow the action from our tender. We snorkel at islands located 20 minutes' sail away from the park as visibility at the park is very limited. We thank you again for your recommendation and hope to see you again on another sunny day maybe for a half-day adventure island hopping and snorkeling. Aom

    Our cruise ship highlight

What an amazing find! My group of 5 did this day tour from our cruise ship which docked nearby and I am so glad we found it. I would 100% recommend it as an alternative from the Cruise ship itineraries. We were picked up promptly and taken to the boat by a taxi and returned in plenty of time to catch the tender. The overall trip was great value. Regina was an entertaining and very helpful host also the food was more than enough and absolutely delicious. He did everything possible to make the day's snorkelling and swimming safe and exceptionally successful.

Response from the operator: Dear naomiy15062005, Thank you so much for your amazing words about your tour with us! We are very happy to read, that you had a great day on your tour with us. We truly appreciate your review and your recommendation and hope to see you back one day on the beautiful island of Koh Samui and on one of our tours. We believe our tours provide exceptional experience at affordable price especially for cruise ship visitors!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Koh Samui.

How much does Koh Samui Nathong Pier: Private Island tour - Cruise Ship guests cost?

    +

Prices start at $16600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Koh Samui usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Koh Samui Nathong Pier: Private Island tour - Cruise Ship guests take?

    +

Plan for about 5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Koh Samui is not rushed.

Is Koh Samui Nathong Pier: Private Island tour - Cruise Ship guests worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Koh Samui, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Koh Samui Nathong Pier: Private Island tour - Cruise Ship guests?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Koh Samui Nathong Pier: Private Island tour - Cruise Ship guests suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Koh Samui Nathong Pier: Private Island tour - Cruise Ship guests?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Koh Samui can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Koh Samui and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Koh Samui Nathong Pier: Private Island tour - Cruise Ship guests start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Koh Samui within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Koh Samui?

    +

On Outty we rank every Koh Samui experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Angthong National Marine Park VIP Small Group Tour, Cooking Class in Koh Samui with Micro Organic Garden, Half Day Elephant Home Sanctuary in Samui. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Koh Samui?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Koh Samui?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
