You will get the benefit of a driver / local driver who will take you to different village womens co-operatives and even their houses where they will be running small scale industries for their daily living. You can Experience different methods of fishing using chinese fishing nets, casting of fish, fish farms etc. In kerala most of the people use Coconut oil for cooking, you will experience the various process of making coconut oil. Also to womens cooperative to watch the spinning of coconut fibres for making natural coir ropes, which are widely used for making floor mats, door mats etc. We will also experience the art of making hand made fishing boats. It will be a life time experience for all those who want to explore real village. ( Not for Cruise Passengers)

If you want to experience real Kochi then take this tour with Sabeer, not only was he fabulous, nothing too much trouble, Sabeer took us to such varied real places. We visited a fishing village that was not only vast but beautifully peaceful, not a tourist in sight. Sabeer took us to a local boat yard where small fishing boats/canoes were being made by hand with the most unusual methods, we met with the artisan boat builders and spent quality time watching and questioning them on the process. The highlight of the trip was the utterly wonderful, colourful, bustling harbour which was full of authentic fishermen and fishing boats unloading and selling their catches. The colours and harbour scene when turning the corner into the harbour was like no fishing port I have ever witnessed. I could have spent the rest of the day just people watching. Again no other tourists to be seen! Sabeer stopped to show us so many things, churches, plants, birds, it was truly a fabulous tour. Sabeer you are wonderful. If in doubt book this tour you won’t regret it!!

Fantastic morning trip!
We had a great time on the village tour in a tuk tuk with Sabeer. He was able to show us things we would not have accessed on our own. On the way to each village, slowed or stopped to allow us to take photos and took great photos of us when we were at the various places. He also gave us lots of information about the places and people that we visited. We had a go using the iron in the laundry, saw loads of eagles, herons, crows and dogs at the fisherman's village. We stood in the hut at the fish farm as the fisherman sorted the fresh catch and sold it to the locals, watching the prawns and fish try to jump off the table. We observed boat makers making fishing canoes, and they answered our questions. We saw how Coconut oil is made. We passed beautiful countryside with Chinese fishing nets and lakes and palm trees and saw cormorants fishing. Sabeer Was very helpful and friendly and stopped for us to get snacks/water, he also took us to the hospital so we could go to the toilet as there were no public toilets in the area.

Thomas was a great driver.
We had an excellent day out in Kochi all be it frustrated by the repetitive checks by Indian Visa authorities on and off, leaving and returning but its their country. The most impressive things in Kochi was the 124 km tidal wall along the foreshore, seeing the town and admiring the cleanliness of the place and rubbish efforts even though its so old. Jewtown a special area is amazing and yes it is what it says it is and also we saw an amazing old church in Fort Kochi. Catholic churches are everywhere. Siju (Thomas) our driver was excellent and the tour was good value and in a comfortable car with air con. They arrived on time and got us back on time.
