    Absolutely Outstanding

Humberto is an excellent teacher. Kiteboarding is a technical sport and Humberto has the ability to communicate, demonstrate, and correct in a most comfortable way. I took a half day private lesson with him and can't wait to apply what I learned back home. Humberto was gracious with his time, I never felt rushed, in fact he took much more time with me than scheduled or billed. I actually payed him much more than his quoted price due to his expertise and graciousness. He also has a very calm personality and communication style. He does a very good job of keeping you relaxed and enjoying the learning process. Humberto has also stayed in touch we me after our lesson, providing insights into equipment and how to continue to learn. What was cray cray cool about my lesson is when I had to walk upwind. I had to do this probably 3 or 4 times and it only took a couple minutes. Humberto took the kite and board to meet upwind and wow, what an experience that was watching him. He would do tricks right in front of me and this was incredible. I have watched videos of master kiteboarders but its different when they are doing tricks, literally right over your head. Lets just say Humberto is not afraid of heights. Guessing he was getting 25 to 35 feet above the water. After watching this, I can't wait to immerse myself in this incredible sport. Don't be scared of the sport. I saw numerous folks of all ages doing it during our lesson. From young girls to old men.

    Kitesurfing lessons.

Myself and some friends booked our kitesurfing lessons with Humberto and had an amazing experience. Communication was great with him and he organized everything for us, even accommodations for 6 people. All his kite gear was top of the line. We spent 2 days with him doing 8hrs of lessons. His instructor technique was amazing and we learned a lot. I highly recommended booking any kitesurfing lessons with Humberto, you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Humberto & Annie. See you guys soon for some more lessons.

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for your kind words, the trip with yoyu guys was great, you should all comee back soon !!

    Adventure to remember

So as this is a travel site and people want to get more insight in things that are highly advertised for certain destinations my review will be such. So if you are Sitting on a beach of Punta Cana, you will be approached with numerous "tourist activity" offers. I am inclined to say that what Kiteology offer is more. Six friends from Canada came to Punta Cana with the specific intention of getting Kite boarding (surfing) lessons. When we arrived we had a couple of contacts but no firm decision. Kiteology took a lead in our choices because they were ready to have 2 instructors and they were also the ones that told us that wind in Punta Cana may not be favorable for dates that we picked. We were only there for 4 days and we asked to have initial training done in just 2 days. Humberto suggested to have training done on Punta Salinas Beach, which was about a 3 hours drive from where we were. It was a bonus was that Humberto provided appropriate accommodations to spend a night there at no extra cost. That decision was dead on. Landscapes of Las Salinas were incredible and wind came like on order. We had a full "local experience". Now something about Humberto: I'm sure that to maintain his certification he has a mandatory curriculum, and that part was on point. We were given a full introduction to equipment, proper use, safety features and practices. The lessons following were broken into a requited skill training needed to be able to kite surf (board). The things that we learned that were not on curriculum were Humberto's passion and love for this sport and his country. Our group consisted of 4 guys of different ages and athletic abilities. Humberto and his co-instructor (Ani) had endless patience and the ability to deal with our shortfalls and conditions. On top of it, we had 2 local boys (school age - maybe 6) on the same beach, that were (as boys their age would) curious to get involved in fun that we were having. Humberto had enough patience and energy to give them enough attention and even give them a ride (carrying them on his back). Humberto familiarized us with surrounding area, local life style and gave us a benefit of local cuisine (and fast food). So when you meet Humberto you may get infected with his passion for kite surfing and his love for Dominican coast. Well done Humberto, hope to meet up soon.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for yoyur kind words, Im really glad you all came and gave me the opportunity to show you guys one of our favorites kite spots. I hope you all do come back again soon, we will plan a North Coast Kite trip ;)

    Amazing first time kitesurfing

My two younger brothers and I have never been kite-surfing before but Humberto and Marino (unsure about spelling) made it really great for us. Humberto and Marino are really great teachers, they were really patient with us and got us from the trainer kite all the way to the board in two sessions. They even gave us a lift back to our hotel after the session! Kitesurfing is lots and lots of fun if you are in the Punta Cana region you have to come here to try it.

Response from the operator: You guys were great! I hope you all have another opportunity to kite again soon!!

Kiteboarding Lessons in Punta Cana: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Kiteboarding Lessons in Punta Cana cost?

    +

Prices start at $215 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Kiteboarding Lessons in Punta Cana take?

    +

Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Kiteboarding Lessons in Punta Cana worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Kiteboarding Lessons in Punta Cana?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Kiteboarding Lessons in Punta Cana suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Kiteboarding Lessons in Punta Cana?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Kiteboarding Lessons in Punta Cana start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
