C’est nickel!
We stayed at the Lopesan resort. The forecast showed rain so we reached out to Chez Nicole to see if we could get a ride to shop! They arranged transportation at 9:30. We shopped, tasted coffee, got drinks at the bar & loved it all. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the goods are top notch…. C’est nickel! Highly recommend for your vacation!

Small tourist shop with complimentary shuttle from hotel - highly recommend
The hotel, Ocean El Faro, arranged a complementary van ride to the boutique (I believe paid for by the boutique to bring in customers... Which is quite smart of you all me. We weren't expecting to pick up at another resort, so the drive took significantly longer than expected (40 min), which ended with my daughter being car sick! The driver pulled over so we could get her some fresh air and then we were back on the road to the shop. Once we arrived, Helen, the shop operations manager, went above and beyond to make my daughter feel better. She even ran and got her some gravol, perhaps from her personal stash, as she didn't charge us. The shop itself is a little more expensive for trinkets and bobbles, but not unexpected for a gated community and free ride. You know when you're getting something "for free" there is a price to pay somehow...whether with time or money. They have a large selection of coffee, chocolate, sugar, vanilla (white and brown), chocolate tea, spices, and liquor, at relatively great piece. They have an ok selection of cigars (Romeo and Juliet, Davidoff, LFDs, Monte Cristo - but according to my husband it wasn't a great selection). The hot chocolate is to die for! Dominicans really do hot chocolate great here! We learned the secret recipe (4 scoops chocolate into a bit of water to melt, 1/2 litre of milk, 1 stick of cinnamon, 1 tsp sugar, and pinch of salt... Cook for 15 mins). They have coco shampoo, conditioner, vitamin E, and everything you can think of for the body or hair, all made of coco. AND, they have "whale sperm" hair masks! Yes, you read that correctly, and yes I've used it in the past and it's amazing! The smell is NOT great, but your hair will love you! They sell very expensive Larimar jewelry, but again, it's to be expected at a tourist trap, but the items are very well made! Because my daughter was sick on the way in, Helen arranged to have us take a dedicated van back to our hotel, which was very nice and quite helpful. Overall our experience was good and I would recommend the commentary ride if your looking for 1.5 hour time off the resort. 4/5 only because it's small and more of a tourist trap $$$, but 5/5 for service.

great little boutique shop
We were picked up at our hotel on time , did a couple of other pick ups on the way , bus was clean and driver friendly . Been here before , a great place to pick up local gifts / souvenirs . No pressure to buy . Greeted by the owner on arrival who explained a couple of things to us . Those that don’t like to shop can enjoy golf course views and a drink . Really nice place and would recommend .

Great boutique with lots of selection! Free shuttle from resort you can book!
We loved our visit here! They picked us up promptly at the resort as booked (free shuttle) and brought us to the boutique. We were made to feel very welcome, with no pressure to buy anything. Great selection, lots of samples to try, beautiful boutique- we will definitely come back here on our next trip.

It was so easy to book the transportation with them. They communicated well. The shopping experience was wonderful. The boutique is very clean, well priced, friendly staff that personally talked to me. I was traveling alone on this trip and felt very safe and well taken care of. The quality of products was excellent!
