Great way to get yo know the city.
Valentina was lovely. Had a private tour. She was very willing to show us anything we wanted. She really knew the city and had great suggestions and information for us. My daughter enjoyed her too

TOUR GUIDE WAS A NO SHOW, VERY DISAPPOINTED
I have used VIATOR for many years and it’s always been a pleasant and memorable experience, UNTIL YESTERDAY. It was our first day in Barcelona and this was the tour that was going to show us around the city. We got to the designated meeting place about 15 minutes before the schedule tour and waited 45 minutes for no one to show up. I did try to meet our tour guide by email since this was a personal tour. It took a few hours to get in touch With the local company, the hotel staff helped me do that since I don’t speak the language. We finally heard from them with somebody who speaks English and she said that the tour guide had a personal problem. Well, the tour guide had my email address she’s emailed me many times and the company should’ve had my email address. So there’s no excuse somebody should’ve gotten in touch with me . If I hadn’t had so many good experiences with VIATOR I certainly would not be back. But today we had a wonderful tour and a wonderful tour guide the way it’s always been before.
Response from the operator: Dear customer, we are very sorry for what happened. It was a difficult situation for the company, since the guide suffered a decompensation moments before the tour, and could not be contacted to give notice. Unfortunately, she could not let us know either, otherwise we would have easily found a replacement for her. These situations never happen but human error can sometimes happen. However, the full amount of your tour was refunded. We are very sorry and thank you for your feedback.

A Great Start
The tour was exactly as advertised. Our tour guide Shari most definitely loves the city of Barcelona and shared this appreciation with us. It was a personal tour. I highly recommend this as a nice start to your visit in Barcelona.

Barcelona, Day 1!!!
Don't have a lot of time, then this is a must tour. Or if you arrive early evening, this tour gets you acclimated to the Barcelona. Our tour guide Shari was great. She was accommodating given that we were a little late, but Shari met with us and was understanding. She walked us around the Gothic area, visiting various churches, the burning flame of Catalan, to the the Bandstand dedicated to Sonia where live salsa dancing was happening at The Parc de la Ciutadella that also had a massive monumental waterfall, a pond and a romantic English garden dated back to 1888. Shari also made great eating recommendation to Joosy. While they accommodated us when we arrived, we would recommend that you make reservation.

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Kickstart Barcelona Private Tour for Newcomers: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does Kickstart Barcelona Private Tour for Newcomers cost?
+
Prices start at $7 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Kickstart Barcelona Private Tour for Newcomers take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is Kickstart Barcelona Private Tour for Newcomers worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Kickstart Barcelona Private Tour for Newcomers?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Kickstart Barcelona Private Tour for Newcomers suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Kickstart Barcelona Private Tour for Newcomers?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Kickstart Barcelona Private Tour for Newcomers start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
