    1. Sibsongpanna Khantoke

The very first ever Khantoke Dinner Show was created right here at Old Chiangmai on 1970. It was started in order to showcase the traditional Northern Thailand, Lanna, culture. This has evolved over centuries and much of what you will witness here is timeless. Many of the dances were created in the last 150 years, the most recent in 1957 but they all have their origins in traditional dance that is very much older.

    Interesting dance,...

Interesting dance, cultural and tasting event. Punctual pickup at the hotel. Food versatile and it is regularly refiled. Unfortunately, only drink one drink, so score deduction. Basically but good event.

Response from the operator: Vielen Dank für Ihre Bewertung! Nick (IAsia Thailand Online)

    Not great!

It was 1 hour experience so the food service was very rushed once everyone was seated. The waiting staff were very pleasant but the food seemed of cheap ingredients and was almost cold when it was served. The music was quite painful to listen to, and the dancing very amateur. Many people were leaving well before the end. Because we are older and need back support for seating, we requested a regular table and chairs, which we got. We were told there would be less visibility, which was right, we could hardly see anything. All in all, not a great experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re glad to hear that you found our staff pleasant and welcoming, as we always strive to provide warm hospitality. We’re sorry to hear that the food service felt rushed and that the meal did not meet your expectations. Please do mention this on the night so our staff can assist you, as we like to solve al problems on the spot! Your feedback is truly valuable, and we will take it into consideration to improve the quality of food and pacing of the service to ensure a more enjoyable experience for our guests. We appreciate your honesty and hope that, if you choose to join us again, we can provide you with a more relaxed and satisfying dining experience. Best regards, Paul

    .

The show was good, but it took a long time to serve our table and almost didn't pass, I had some dietary restrictions and when I was going to ask they couldn't answer me. But taking that out is worth knowing a bit of the local food and culture

Response from the operator: Obrigado por compartilhar sua experiência conosco! Nick (IAsia Thailand Online)

    Dinner show

Hotel pick up and drop off was great always early and patient. Driver spoke great English and spoke with us all the way to dinner. The dinner set up is in a Traditional set up on the floor and tables if you need them. The show was wonderful. The dinner was more like appetizer because it was very little, so if you are going to eat ...it best to eat before going

Response from the operator: Dear Terry, Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience with our Thai Khantoke Dinner & Cultural Dance Show, and for choosing us for your cultural evening. We're delighted to learn that you enjoyed the traditional dance performances and the authentic Thai cuisine. It's our goal to showcase the rich cultural tapestry of Thailand, and we're thrilled that you found the experience engaging and enjoyable. Thanks for your support, Nick

Khantoke Dinner Experience & Cultural Dance Show with Transfers: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.

How much does Khantoke Dinner Experience & Cultural Dance Show with Transfers cost?

    +

Prices start at $44 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Khantoke Dinner Experience & Cultural Dance Show with Transfers take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.

Is Khantoke Dinner Experience & Cultural Dance Show with Transfers worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Khantoke Dinner Experience & Cultural Dance Show with Transfers?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Khantoke Dinner Experience & Cultural Dance Show with Transfers suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Khantoke Dinner Experience & Cultural Dance Show with Transfers?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Khantoke Dinner Experience & Cultural Dance Show with Transfers start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?

    +

On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
