Very poor tour. Beware safety is secondary

Transport to boat was shocking. They crammed 4 more people in to a mini bus but had no seats for them so people were sitting on others knees. Then some kid in front kept turning the air con off in minibus and playing with fan and gear stick driver was trying to drive but had to contend with this uncontrollable kid. Boat on and off access was poor very little help from staff to get on and off. One side of boat had no step so wife grazed her leg trying to get down off boat and banged her chin on motor. Then when getting off boat at end of tour we all had to balance on a floating pontoon which was wedged up by moored boats at about 30 degree slope staff from our boat more interested in cleaning boat than the safety of their passengers Overall poorly run trip will never use these again

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are truly sorry to hear about your experience and that certain parts of the trip did not meet your expectations. We sincerely apologize for the discomfort and safety concerns you described during the transportation and boat boarding/disembarking process. This is not the standard of service we aim to provide, and your comments regarding overcrowding, passenger safety, and staff assistance have been taken very seriously. Your feedback has been forwarded to the relevant team for immediate review so that improvements can be made to prevent situations like this from happening again. We appreciate your honesty, as it helps us identify areas where we must do better. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again in the future. Best Regards, Oh-Hoo Team

Cheap and cheerful snorkelling trip

Speedboat trip to the three Khai islands. Friendly, helpful staff. Lots of waiting around before hand was a shame. First island was good snorkelling, we couldn’t stop at the second due to tides. The third had lots of sea urchins to see but an hour was too long. The tiny snorkelling area was choppy due to all the jet skis. No life jackets provided for the boat rides despite a sign saying you should wear them.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re glad to hear that our staff made a positive impression and that you enjoyed snorkeling at the first and third islands. We sincerely apologize for the waiting times, the tidal limitations, and any inconvenience caused by the crowded conditions and lack of life jackets. Your comments are very helpful, and we will review these points to improve the experience for future guests. We appreciate your honesty and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a smoother and even more enjoyable trip in the future. Best Regards, Oh-Hoo Team

Not the best experience

Long road transfer to port. On arrival disorganised, very little communication. Boat filled to the max, crammed in. Short boat trips to islands, enough time at each stop. Our friends found it difficult to get back on the boat, due to small step being to high and only about 6 inches in width and water being to deep to step up. They remained on the boat for last two stops as did a few other people, fresh fruit and refreshments offered at last stop but only for the ones who went ashore, when ask crew for fruit and water when they returned, they said that they forgot people remained on the boat, none was offered. At the end, everyone’s transfer left immediately, our driver was sat by our van eating, after 20 minutes he looked inside the van looking at everyone, closed the door and went to the toilet, on his return he then lit a cigarette for another 10 minutes, on finally leaving the port, he then stopped to get fuel another 10 minutes. Not a get trip, rough drive and everyone thought he was high on something.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. Please accept our sincere apologies for the lack of organization and communication upon arrival at the port. This is certainly not the standard of service we aim to provide. We also regret that the boat felt overcrowded and that some members of your group experienced difficulty reboarding due to the step and water conditions. Your comments regarding accessibility are very important, and we will review this matter carefully to improve safety and comfort for all guests. We are especially sorry to learn that refreshments were not provided to those who remained on board. This was clearly an oversight on our part, and we understand how disappointing that must have felt. We will address this with our team to ensure that all guests are equally cared for, regardless of whether they go ashore. We truly appreciate your honest comments, as they help us improve. Please accept our apologies once again for the inconvenience you experienced. We hope we may have the opportunity to restore your confidence in us in the future. Best Regards, Oh-Hoo Team

Great value for the money. Beautiful sand, water, and fishes!

Everything was arranged well for a relaxing, fun experience. Snacks and beverages were thoughtful and tasty. The snorkeling was good enough for a first-timer, but might be underwhelming if you've done it before. One of the islands was wonderful, with white sand and clear water and minimal activity, very peaceful. The other would have been better if not overwhelmed with visitors and vendors. Transportation on the island is slow. Please keep your schedule loose with this in mind, knowing that a couple hours will be spent getting to the dock and waiting for all of the other passengers to assemble. In the end it is worth it, but some may be disappointed.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your detailed feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the relaxing overall experience. We appreciate your honest comments and will take them into consideration to improve future tours and hope to see you on another tour again soon. Best regards, Tawan Oh-hoo Team

Khai Island Half Day Tour From Phuket: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.

How much does Khai Island Half Day Tour From Phuket cost?

+

Prices start at $962 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Khai Island Half Day Tour From Phuket take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.

Is Khai Island Half Day Tour From Phuket worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 66 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Khai Island Half Day Tour From Phuket?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Khai Island Half Day Tour From Phuket suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Khai Island Half Day Tour From Phuket?

+

Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Khai Island Half Day Tour From Phuket start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Phuket?

+

On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Phuket?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Phuket?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
