Amazing experience and service!
We booked our tour via WhatsApp a few days before departure. We received a very good price, probably because it was low season. The communication beforehand was excellent, and we really appreciated being able to customize the tour according to our own wishes. When we arrived at the marina with their arranged private driver, we received a very warm welcome, and they were also incredibly kind to our two young children. Our guide, Sandy, showed us a large map of the islands and gave us her recommendations since the weather conditions were not ideal. She made it clear that we could change our plans along the way, which was especially reassuring when traveling with small children. We set off with the captain, Sandy, and the engineer, first heading to Khai Nai and later Khai Nok. The crew did everything possible to ensure we had the best experience, even though these two small islands are no longer as untouched and private as we naively thought. There were vendors waiting to sell us various things, and it was very comforting that Sandy stayed with us throughout. She also took several photos during the trip, which were later sent to us. At Khai Nok, they anchored away from the other boats, so although there were a lot of visitors, it actually felt very peaceful considering the number of people there. It was wonderful that they had taken this into consideration simply to make our experience better. At one point, both of our children fell asleep on the boat at the same time, and Sandy kindly offered to watch over them. This gave us half an hour of adult time, during which we were provided with snorkeling gear and could jump into the water just a few feet from the boat. It was the best half hour of our entire vacation! Afterward, we were taken to a small floating village/island where the restaurant is recommended in the Michelin Guide. At first, we thought it would be crowded, but we had the whole place to ourselves. It felt magical sitting there in the middle of nowhere, enjoying deep-fried whole crab and whole fish at a low table above the water, surrounded by fish farms, shellfish, and pearl farms on weathered wooden platforms. Even the primitive toilets had ocean views through the gaps in the floor. Incredible! The local people work incredibly hard, yet they remain so kind and welcoming toward tourists like us. We were also served a beautiful platter of freshly cut fruit made by the boat crew, drinks throughout the trip, and refreshing cold towels. Nothing was missing. We absolutely loved the experience and hope to repeat it one day. Would recommend to everyone! A huge thank you to Sandy and the entire crew!

Fantastic private tour of the Khai islands
Excellent tour with jessica as our guide. This was a lot of money, however it was a great experience and worth the money. The team personalised our trip to account for us travelling with 2 young children and timed our islands trips well to avoid the crowds. Thank you to all the team

Felt Like Family — An Experience We’ll Never Forget
We have joined boat tours with this amazing team five times, and every single time has been an absolute pleasure. From the very first tour, they made us feel not just like guests, but like part of a family. A very special thank you to Jessica ❤️and Kevin — your warmth, professionalism, and genuine care truly made each experience unforgettable. They were also incredibly kind and attentive to our son, which meant a lot to us as a family. Thanks to their approach, we always felt that families can travel comfortably and confidently with children on these tours. In fact, on our last tour, we rearranged our plans at the very last minute just so we could spend this special time with them again — and it was 100% worth it. The whole team is fantastic, friendly, and incredibly attentive. Every tour felt safe, relaxed, fun, and full of great memories. We always felt comfortable and welcomed as a family. We honestly cannot recommend this boat tour enough. If you are considering a tour — especially if you’re traveling with kids — don’t hesitate. This team will make it an experience you’ll want to repeat, just like we did. Thank you all for the wonderful memories. We hope to see you again very soon! Burak &Nevra & Uygar

5 Star Marine made our day unforgettable!
We booked 5 Star Marine for a last-minute Khai Islands private tour, and they exceeded all expectations. We originally had a James Bond Island tour with another company and thought it would take the whole day. Surprisingly, we finished around 10 AM. At 10:30 AM, I contacted 5 Star Marine hoping they could accommodate us without any prior reservation—and they did! They arranged to pick us up from our hotel by 1 PM. Truly impressive service. From the moment we were picked up, the staff were extremely accommodating and polite. Our guide, Noon, was especially wonderful—very attentive, reassuring, and warm. I was nervous about snorkeling in the open, deep water and happened to mention that it was my birthday. To my surprise, when we returned to the pier, she had prepared a birthday cake for me. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the experience extra special. The fruits and drinks included in the package were fresh, clean, and beautifully prepared. Everything felt well-organized and high-quality. Overall, we loved the entire trip and truly appreciated the exceptional service. We’ll definitely be booking with 5 Star Marine again for our next island tours. Highly recommended!

Why this scores 68
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Khai Island Private Boat Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.
How much does Khai Island Private Boat Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $21600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Khai Island Private Boat Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.
Is Khai Island Private Boat Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 44 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Khai Island Private Boat Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Khai Island Private Boat Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Khai Island Private Boat Tour?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Khai Island Private Boat Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phuket?
+
On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phuket?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phuket?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
