Private, customized tour of surrounding Amsterdam

This was truly a small group setting. The small group consisted of us and another couple from Romania.. Cherie our tour guide and our van driver met our expectations. They conveniently provided pick-up/drop-off at our hotel on time. Cherie gave an informative commentary throughout our tour of Keukenhof, Hidden windmills and Delft. Times at each location were appropriate and provided adequate time for pictures, exploring and souvenir shopping. The hidden windmills were a special treat, sitting in a quiet location close to town. The tour of Delft included visiting one of the privately owned and run potteries. We met both the potter and artist who produced the Delft ware we purchased. We would highly recommend Cherie for her thoughtful, informative and accomodating tour.

Response from the operator: Dear Belen, Thank you so much for this wonderful review. What you described is exactly the essence of Cherry Tours—small groups, personal attention, hidden gems, and authentic local experiences. I am always exploring new places, meeting local people, and creating new adventures rather than simply running the same tours over and over again. That's why I love including special places like hidden windmills, family-run workshops, and unique experiences that most visitors would never discover on their own. Thank you for appreciating the effort that goes into making each tour special. It was a pleasure sharing the Netherlands with you, and I hope to welcome you back one day for another adventure—there is always something new to discover! Warm regards, Cherry

    Lovely experience

This was a full but totally lovely day. The pace was perfect. Although we were at the gardens at the very end of the season, it was still beautiful. Delft was charming. Loved seeing the windmills up close….the lady who lives in one of the windmills actually invited us into her home and then showed us the working parts of the mill.

Response from the operator: Hello Grace, Thank you so much for your lovely review! We’re delighted you enjoyed such a full and beautiful day, even at the end of the tulip season. It’s wonderful to hear you appreciated Delft, the windmills up close, and that special moment being welcomed inside a working windmill home — truly a unique and personal Dutch experience. We also appreciate your kind words about the pace of the tour. Instead of squeezing into a shuttle, we offer a comfortable point-to-point pickup and drop off service for your group to make the journey smoother and more personal. We would love to welcome you again on another small-group tour in a different season to discover even more of the Netherlands’ beauty and perhaps in other countries in Europe! 🌷

Mis selling and very bad tour

We were promised to be picked from our hotel. The tour operator called and said that was not possible and Viator has mis sold. So we had to take a taxi to Amsterdam central and wait for the driver Then we were 8 in a small van. It was so suffocating in the back seat but there was no alternative Extremely bad

Response from the operator: Dear Dinesh, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you were not happy, but the comments are not about how our guide was running the tour. The vehicle Mercedes Vito is a new luxury standard vehicle used for small-group tours in Europe and seating is arranged based on booking order. Any preference should ideally be communicated during the tour so we can try to assist. For example change seating. Pickup instructions are clearly stated in the tour description: guests must arrange it in advance and you contacted us quite late and we couldn't arrange in time, otherwise the standard meeting point applies. As a courtesy, the guide offered a drop-off on the return, which is not included in the tour. We did try to offer what we could only if you could communicate earlier. We are a small, passionate company and always aim to provide a quality experience. We hope you may reconsider your rating. Next time we suggest you to join a private tour with plenty of room for your only. We will offer you a special offer, pls contact us in the future!

A Beautiful Day In The Netherlands.

The tour takes longer than is advertised, but that is ok. If you have dinner reservations you should plan on 7:30 pm at the earliest. We loved our tour as we covered much more than we thought we would. The Keukenhof Gardens were awesome, as they always are. This was our fourth visit. We left the guide early at Keukenhof because we knew our way around and our group was like herding cats. My wife has the need for a wheelchair which actually allowed us to stroll through the gardens quicker. The trip to Delft covered much more than we thought it would as there is much more to see in Delft than pottery, which truly is some of the best in the world. Because the day lasted longer than anticipated we would have missed our dinner reservation. Our guide contacted the restaurant to be sure we could arrive late, then he was so kind to drop us off at the restaurant. The only shortcoming in the day was the guide’s diction could be improved as all three in our party found it very difficult at times to understand what the guide was saying as he drove the van.

Response from the operator: Hello Richard, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed discovering more of Delft beyond the famous pottery and that even on your fourth visit, Keukenhof still felt magical. We’re also happy our guide could assist with your dinner reservation and arrange a convenient drop-off at the restaurant. During the busy tulip season, timing can occasionally run a little longer due to traffic and the relaxed pace of small-group tours, but many guests enjoy the extra scenic and cultural stops along the way. Thank you as well for your helpful feedback regarding the guide’s diction while driving — we truly appreciate it and will continue improving. We hope to welcome you back again on a future visit to the Netherlands!

    Keukenhof and Delft with Mukti.

Multi was extremely knowledgeable and took us to all the historic sites in Delft and shared his expertise in the gardens of Keukenhof. His knowledge of Dutch history is amazing. Van was excellent and he used a microphone so everyone could hear his descriptions as he drove. Definitely recommend.

Response from the operator: Hello Leslie, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed exploring the historic sites of Delft and the beautiful gardens of Keukenhof with Multi. He is truly passionate about Dutch history, and we’re very happy that his knowledge and storytelling made your experience memorable. We also appreciate your comments about the van and microphone system. We always aim to provide comfortable transportation with clear communication during the drive, as this is part of the standard we want every guest to experience on our tours. Thank you again for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back to the Netherlands in the future!

Keukenhof Tulip Tour Small Group Hidden Windmills and Delft: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.

How much does Keukenhof Tulip Tour Small Group Hidden Windmills and Delft cost?

    +

Prices start at $159 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Keukenhof Tulip Tour Small Group Hidden Windmills and Delft take?

    +

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.

Is Keukenhof Tulip Tour Small Group Hidden Windmills and Delft worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 122 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Keukenhof Tulip Tour Small Group Hidden Windmills and Delft?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Keukenhof Tulip Tour Small Group Hidden Windmills and Delft suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Keukenhof Tulip Tour Small Group Hidden Windmills and Delft?

    +

Around 43 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Keukenhof Tulip Tour Small Group Hidden Windmills and Delft start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?

    +

On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Amsterdam?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
