Amazing Experience.
A must see. The tulips were colorful and beautifully arranged…so much variety. Our driver/guide Steve was very personable and extremely knowledgeable. He was accommodating in taking time for photo stops and took us to working tulip farms as well as to Keukenhof. We had plenty of time to spend at Keukenhof. The village with the working windmills was interesting. The entire experience was amazing! Highly recommend this tour.

Steven Made the Netherlands Bloom!
Steven Attersol was an absolute delight to spend the day with. A proud Dutchman through and through, Steven brought warmth, charm, and a deep love for his country to every moment of our tour. He shared openly and thoughtfully about what life is like in the post-Corona era, especially as someone working in the ever-changing travel industry. His transparency made our experience feel personal and authentic, and it was easy to connect with him right away. Steven is one of those rare guides who feels more like a friend—relaxed, approachable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the best of the Netherlands. He’s also an excellent driver, which allowed us to sit back and truly enjoy the stunning scenery. The tour itself was beautifully curated. From wandering through colorful farmers’ flower fields to experiencing the breathtaking Keukenhof gardens, every stop was more impressive than the last. The afternoon visit to the Zaanse Schans was like stepping back in time, and seeing real working windmills up close was unforgettable. All in all, Steven made an already amazing tour even more special. His patriotism, knowledge, and easygoing nature created a memorable, joyful experience that I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting the Netherlands.
Response from the operator: Dear Craig, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. Steve told me you all had a great time and that's what it is all about, because you deserve much more than just a private tour! Take care and love to see you back. Kind regards, Marlou Baets

Tulips, Windmills and Wooden Shoes: A Perfect Family Tour
A spectacular day... Steven was our wonderful guide and we can't thank him enough for a fantastic tour we had in the outer areas of Amsterdam. We traveled from Miami with our daughters, ages 3 and 13, and my parents and husband. The private tour began in the flower fields where we had the opportunity to take some spectacular photos. We continued to a tulip farm where they had a very cute shop, and we stopped for some refreshments, relaxed for a few minutes, and bought some souvenirs. We continued our tour at Keukenhof Tulip Park. It's spectacular; you can see a wide variety of tulips, orchids… We spent about 2 hours here walking and taking photos with breathtaking views... the best part of our tour was the flexibility we had to spend as much time as we wanted in each place, without anyone rushing us and without having to wait for anyone. Our trip culminated in Zaanse Schans, a wonderful village that, as our guide explained, is not a museum but a real village, part of Dutch heritage. There we took photos with centuries-old windmills and saw in less than 10 minutes how the famous clogs or wooden shoes are made from a piece of wood. This part was what we liked most about the trip because it was incredible... We recommend this private tour 100%, for its professionalism and because it's an experience we will never forget, where you can feel the history in a relaxed and rural environment. Endless thanks to our guide Steve for this incredible memory.

A great day with flowers and windmills.
My wife and I took the Keukenhof, Flower Fields & Zaanse Schans Windmills - Private Day Tour. The beautiful Keukenhof gardens and surrounding flower fields are truly amazing. Zaanse Schans takes one back in time to see how people lived and worked. Steve is personable, friendly and full of knowledge about Netherlands history, culture and the sites visited. The timely pickup and drop off at our hotel plus his readiness to accommodate our interests and desires was much appreciated. He is an excellent driver and his vehicle is comfortable. Overall an outstanding day in the Netherlands. Well worth the price.
Response from the operator: Dear Maurice, Thank you so much you took the time to write your reviews about your experience and three day's you explored a part of our country and visiting beautifull sights, highlights and museums. For us it's always our goal to offer our guests much more than just a private tour. I'll pass the message to Steve. Regards, Marlou Baets

Keukenhof, Tulip Farm, Flower Fields & Zaanse Schans Windmills: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Amsterdam.
How much does Keukenhof, Tulip Farm, Flower Fields & Zaanse Schans Windmills cost?
+
Prices start at $137 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Amsterdam usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Keukenhof, Tulip Farm, Flower Fields & Zaanse Schans Windmills take?
+
Plan for about 7.3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Amsterdam is not rushed.
Is Keukenhof, Tulip Farm, Flower Fields & Zaanse Schans Windmills worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Amsterdam, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Keukenhof, Tulip Farm, Flower Fields & Zaanse Schans Windmills?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Keukenhof, Tulip Farm, Flower Fields & Zaanse Schans Windmills suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7.3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Keukenhof, Tulip Farm, Flower Fields & Zaanse Schans Windmills?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Amsterdam can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Amsterdam and add a light layer if any part of the 7.3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Keukenhof, Tulip Farm, Flower Fields & Zaanse Schans Windmills start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Amsterdam within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Amsterdam?
+
On Outty we rank every Amsterdam experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Amsterdam Canal Cruise with Local Guide and Small Group, Guided Bike Tour of Amsterdam's Highlights & Hidden Gems, Amsterdam: Luxury Canal Cruise including Cocktails & Snacks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Amsterdam?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Amsterdam?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
