Keramikos is one of Athens’ most compelling neighborhoods, where ancient history, working-class traditions and a new creative energy all meet. On market day, its streets become especially lively, filled with vendors, shoppers and the flavors of the season. We’ll begin with coffee and fresh pastries before visiting long-standing neighborhood favorites, including an old bakery serving bougatsa and a tiny kitchen specializing in Cretan dishes. Highly recommended
Natali led an amazing tour in a neighbourhood I would not normally have visited myself. A variety of stops in off the beaten path locations and very generous with a huge variety of food. I would definitely consider doing this tour again if in Athens on a Tuesday.

Keramikos Tour - with great discussions on music and movies!
Konstantine was incredibly engaging and knowledgeable throughout the tour. I really appreciate the "off-the-beaten-path" aspect of the tour, which allows for better understanding of the way locals really live and the history and art that shaped (and continues to shape) the neighborhood. Furthermore, Konstantine fostered a personal connection to better bring to life the experience.

Wonderful Food and Culture Experience

Excellent tour of lesser-known Athens
We had a fabulous tour of some of the lesser known parts of Athens with the brilliantly informative Constantine. It was a tour for a maximum of 7 guests, and as we were the only people booked on that day, we had him pretty much to ourselves. Starting with snacks, coffee, and a variety of pies, and then two lunches, we ended the day full of food and much better informed about Athens, it's history, and Greek society than we started the day with. Come hungry and don't book dinner for the same day! We're heading for another destination where Culinary Backstreets operates and we'll definitely book them again.

We very much enjoyed this food tour ! It was just us, a wonderful Australian couple, and our fun and informative guide Constantine. We learned a lot, discovered places not usually visited by tourists in Athens, laughed a lot and enjoyed plenty of tasty food. Dont eat breakfast and go hungry, because you will get a lot to try and enjoy ! This is a very much recommended way to spend 6 hours in Athens.
