    Great guide, low tide

Great guide, beautiful scenery, good time but only go at high tide. We went at low tide and could not see everything we wanted to.

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for your review and we are very happy that you liked it. Yes is true that at low tide there are some parts of the lagoon where you can not access and we are very sorry about that because is just happens very few times, but nothing we can do against nature!! Still, the main part of the lagoon can be visited, so you just missed a little part, sorry about that!! Thanks again for coming with us, Greetings from all Thalassa Tour team!

    Amazing day in Ao Thalane

My husband and I had an amazing private tour to Ao Thalane. There is kayaking (nit very challenging) through mangrove forest with breathtaking views, delicious lunch, walk through natural park and swimming in the natural pool. Our guide Ekkie really made this activity special. He is super welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. Can 100% recommend :-)

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for your words. We work hard to try to give you an amazing day and we are so happy when we make it happened. We love our job and we think this is the key factor for a great day in the sea. Thanks again for everything and you know where is your house if you ever come back to Krabi All the best from all Thalassa Tour team

Fantastic trip from start to finish!!

Great itinerary and well executed day of fun! The morning and afternoon activities were swapped around to coincide with high tide for the kayaking - an important consideration as we were kayaking with kids. Our Guide Unn was super professional and friendly. He was always on the lookout for great photo opportunities and shared very insightful bits of history. He also helped to snap many photos to help us remember the fantastic day. The main attraction was the mangrove kayaking. It was serene, picturesque and definitely a memorable experience. Lunch was delicious and helped to fuel us up for the kayaking.

    Great day - true exploration

We had such a great time on this tour. Kayaking the mangroves was such a cool experience. We saw a monkey right beside the waterway. It was quiet and not overcrowded so we felt privileged to see such an awesome ecosystem. We then walked through a community preserved area with crystal clear water running through streamers where we could see multiple fish species in the river. Lastly, we bathed in a jungle freshwater pool, which is part of a spectacular cave system of water tunnels. The dip in the turquoise pool was refreshing and a perfect end tour our lovely day. Our guides were so personable and fun that we hope to keep in touch. Do not hesitate to book this tour.

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for your review. Is greatly appreciated and we are so happy that you enjoy our tour.! Thanks again for all the support and we hope to see you again for another tour All the best from all Thalassa Tour team

Kayaking in Ao Thalane - Discover the Mangrove life: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krabi.

How much does Kayaking in Ao Thalane - Discover the Mangrove life cost?

    +

Prices start at $1300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krabi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Kayaking in Ao Thalane - Discover the Mangrove life take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krabi is not rushed.

Is Kayaking in Ao Thalane - Discover the Mangrove life worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 39 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krabi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Kayaking in Ao Thalane - Discover the Mangrove life?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Kayaking in Ao Thalane - Discover the Mangrove life suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Kayaking in Ao Thalane - Discover the Mangrove life?

    +

Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krabi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krabi and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Kayaking in Ao Thalane - Discover the Mangrove life start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krabi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Krabi?

    +

On Outty we rank every Krabi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Phi Phi Islands Tour with Lunch from Krabi, Phi Phi Early Bird & 4 Islands - Day Tour by Speedboat From Krabi, Railay and 4-Island Sunset Speedboat Cruise with Night Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Krabi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Krabi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
