Gorgeous kayaking
Super fun day. Liked going early before it got too hot. The caves were beautiful, kayaking fun and the swim was refreshing. A nice way to see the city from a different perspective for a couple hours.

It was an okay trip. I went solo and I was paired up with someone else who didn’t know how to kayak, so it was a little frustrating vs enjoyable. I wish they would have solo kayaks. Also, the tour it’s self was only an hour if that and then they let you swim and the rest of the time is on the boat. It said 2 hours but we were back in an hour and a half or so. That was kind of frustrating. Overall, it was okay. Caves were busy with other kayaks and boats and it felt chaotic. Def go early!

The advertised two-hour duration includes the full experience: the journey aboard the support boat to Ponta da Piedade, the guided kayak tour, a swimming stop when conditions allow, and the return journey aboard the support boat. During the summer, Lagos and Ponta da Piedade naturally receive more visitors and tourism activity. For guests who prefer a quieter experience, we generally recommend choosing an earlier departure. Great kayaking tour of the caves and rocks
Great kayak tour of the caves and rock formations. First take boat to get close to kayaking area, then 2 people per kayak (stronger kayaker sits in the back), then get a guided tour of the caves and ruins. Guide was very informative and funny and talked a lot about the rock formations and had amusing stories about what they looked like. Then had time to jump in the water and swim for 10-15 minutes. Water was cool but refreshing. Lots of fun, kayaking was mildly strenuous but easy overall. Highly recommend.

Great guides but anticipate crowds and shorter than anticipated excursion
I was a solo female traveler and what I did appreciate about Blue Fleet vs the other kayaking companies is that they pair you up with a guide in the double Kayak instead of a random stranger. That also helped me feel safe and our guide, Miguel was great! He was great at keeping the group together, helping any kayak that was struggling and he was funny. A great double kayak partner! Why I knocked off a bubble is because this tour was a lot shorter than what I anticipated. I felt we went through just a couple of caves and then we were done and on the way back so Im not sure if the cost is worth the short tour, but the caves are beautiful. I also booked the earliest tour at 845 am thinking that it would avoid the crowds as I hear the afternoons get pretty packed but there were still a lot of kayakers on the ocean so be prepared to wait and bump into other groups too. Otherwise, the skipper and crew were great and the Blue Fleet location is easy to find!
