A real adventure in complete safety over a distance of about 6 km. We usually leave from Playa de Las Coloradas and paddle along the coast through the Natural Park of Los Ajaches until we reach the paradisiacal Playa Papagayo, the most famous beach in the south of Lanzarote. We take a moment to rest, have a drink and a snack on the beach (included in the price). It's a circular route so we will paddle back to the same starting point.

Brilliant experience!
My daughter and I had a great kayaking experience to papagayo with Alessandro, who was a brilliant guide, and shared so much knowledge about the island and geology. The kayaking was fab with great views, travelling along the coast. We also had time for a stop off at one beach for a bit of history, refueling and a quick snorkel. Would highly recommend. A real work out and a morning really well spent. Highly recommend!!

Great trip with a brilliant guide
A brilliant experience with a really interesting and knowledgable guide. Alessandro made the trip, sharing great insights about the island and sights. Kayaking was challenging but great experience. A highlight for our kids and friends, worth doing to f holidaying in Lanzarote
Response from the operator: Thank you sooo much! Paddling to Papagayo every day could easily start to feel repetitive, but thanks to people like you, it never does. Seeing the place through your eyes and sharing your excitement lets me experience it all over again, just like the very first time! See you soon in Lanzarote Alessandro - Aò!

Great experience, beautiful island with a brilliant guide
Alessandro was a brilliant guide, he shared so much about the island and sights from the tour. The kayaking was great, travelling along the coast line to different bays. Taking time to refuel and snorkel. Would highly recommend. A real work out but highlight of our trip to playa Blanca for our kids and their friends.
Response from the operator: I really enjoyed paddling together. What truly recharges me is meeting new people who become friends, and then having the chance to meet again, year after year, like old friends :) Alessandro - Aò!

Fantastic time on the water
We had an amazing kayaking experience with Alessandro as our guide. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made everyone feel comfortable from the very beginning. With great enthusiasm, he shared fascinating stories about the island's history and explained how the impressive rock formations were created, making the tour both enjoyable and educational. His passion and knowledge really brought the surroundings to life. Alessandro's positive attitude and professionalism made the whole experience unforgettable. Thanks to him, we had a fantastic time on the water and created wonderful memories. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: I really appreciate your words, not easy to explain how much work and preparation is needed for this job. Hope to meet you again in Lanzarote! Alessandro - Aò!

Kayak Excursion to Papagayo: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lanzarote.
How much does Kayak Excursion to Papagayo cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lanzarote usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Kayak Excursion to Papagayo take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lanzarote is not rushed.
Is Kayak Excursion to Papagayo worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 40 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lanzarote, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Kayak Excursion to Papagayo?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Kayak Excursion to Papagayo suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Kayak Excursion to Papagayo?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lanzarote can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lanzarote and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Kayak Excursion to Papagayo start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lanzarote within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lanzarote?
+
On Outty we rank every Lanzarote experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Guapatinis Show Bar Experience, Tour to Timanfaya, Jameos del Agua, Cueva de los Verdes and viewpoint from the cliff, MHT Lanzarote - Comedy Drag Dinner Show Experience - No1. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lanzarote?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lanzarote?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Kayak Excursion to Papagayo?
+
Included: Snacks; and Bottled water. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Where is the meeting point for Kayak Excursion to Papagayo?
+
We will meet on the promenade next to the wooden bridge. Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.
What languages is Kayak Excursion to Papagayo offered in?
+
It is offered in English, Italian, French and Spanish. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
Will I get instant confirmation and a mobile ticket for Kayak Excursion to Papagayo?
+
Confirmation is sent by the operator after booking, usually within 48 hours; if it is not confirmed you are not charged. Mobile tickets are accepted, so you can show the voucher on your phone.

+
