Highly recommend!
Elizabeth was so knowledgeable, personable, and accommodating. Her car was comfortable and all along the way she remained thoughtful and aware of our celebration and interests. She provided delicious teas and even remembered my wife’s birthday and surprised her with a cake and candle. Our group of 4 all agreed it was like traveling with a close friend. I highly recommend booking with Elizabeth!
Response from the operator: Mahalo nui loa! Hosting your group was such pleasure, and I loved being part of your celebration. I’m so glad the day felt relaxed and meaningful—that’s what these experiences are all about. Sending warm wishes to you and the girls, and thank you again for trusting me with your time on the island.

A must do!!
There was a group of four of us on the tour. Elizabeth picked us up at our resort right on time. She knew so much about the island and its history. All the locations we visited were breathtaking. We had lunch at a local restaurant that was terrific and afterward Elizabeth treated us to her homemade banana chocolate chip bread. It was wonderful! Highly recommend this tour.
Response from the operator: Aloha! 🌺 Mahalo for taking the time to share your experience! It was such a pleasure spending the day with your group — I’m so glad you enjoyed the tour and the beautiful sights we explored together. Sharing the history and stories of Kauai is one of my favorite parts of what I do, and it means so much to hear that it added to your experience. I’m also happy to hear you enjoyed lunch and the homemade banana chocolate chip bread — it’s always baked with aloha! 😊 Thank you for the kind recommendation, and I hope to welcome you all back to the island someday! With gratitude, Elizabeth 🌴 Kauai Luxury Tours

Riding in Style in Kauai - What an Excellent Time!
Our family certainly enjoyed the tour with Elizabeth. She was punctual, informative, and congenial. If she wouldn't have told me that she wasn't a native Hawaiian I wouldn't have known. Her knowledge of Kauai is that vast. Her luxury SUV was well appointed and impeccably clean. You'll ride in style. Here are some tips to ensure you have an even better time: 1. Don't bring food. Elizabeth knows some great local spots to eat. Besides, she doesn't want Cheeto dust on her seats. Would you? 2. It is Hawaiian tradition to call your elders "Auntie". Don't call her Auntie. Not that I did or would. Just don't. 3. Similar to #2, don't call her Liz. Here again, not that I did or would. Mahalo and Aloha Elizabeth!
Response from the operator: Mahalo for the fantastic review and for picking up on the unofficial rules! I had a blast showing you and your family around Kauai, and I’m so glad you enjoyed all the stories about this wonderful place we’re lucky to call home. Hope to see you again for another stylish adventure—Cheeto-free, of course! And do tell Uncle Richard I say hello! Aloha! 🌺🚘

Why this scores 51
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Kauai Island Private Guided Tour-Waimea Canyon from Princeville: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kauai.
How much does Kauai Island Private Guided Tour-Waimea Canyon from Princeville cost?
+
Prices start at $1450 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kauai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Kauai Island Private Guided Tour-Waimea Canyon from Princeville take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kauai is not rushed.
Is Kauai Island Private Guided Tour-Waimea Canyon from Princeville worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kauai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Kauai Island Private Guided Tour-Waimea Canyon from Princeville?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Kauai Island Private Guided Tour-Waimea Canyon from Princeville suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Kauai Island Private Guided Tour-Waimea Canyon from Princeville?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kauai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kauai and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Kauai Island Private Guided Tour-Waimea Canyon from Princeville start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kauai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kauai?
+
Kauai sells Na Pali Coast boat and helicopter tours, Waimea Canyon drives, tubing through old plantation ditches and Hanalei kayak trips. Ocean conditions shut down the north shore boat runs in winter, so cancellation terms matter. On Outty we rank every Kauai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Koloa Zipline in Kauai, Kauai: NaPali Boat Tour on the Amelia K, Kauai: Secret Falls Kayak and Hike. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kauai?
+
April to June and September to October, with calmest seas in summer. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kauai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
