Vaikunta Perumal Temple
Thiru Parameswara Vinnagaram or Vaikunta Perumal Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the God Vishnu. Constructed in the Dravidian style of architecture, the temple is glorified in the Nalayira Divya Prabandham, the early medieval Tamil canon of the Alvar saints from the 6th through the 9th centuries CE. It is one among the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to the God Vishnu, who is worshipped as Vaikuntanathan (lit. 'Lord of Vaikunta') and his consort, the Goddess Lakshmi as Sri Vaikundavalli. The temple is considered the second oldest extant temple in Kanchipuram after the Kailasanathar temple.

Kailasanatha Temple
Architecturally beautiful Kailasanathar Temple: The temple was first of its kind of stone architecture as compared to others in Pallava that were stone carved or rock cut. The foundation made of granite withstands the load of the entire massive structure. archeological curated Kanchi trip
What went well: Vijay, our guide, is fantastic. The driver was always ready, the car was clean. What did not go well: there was no cold water readily available in the van or any kind of way to clean hands. Umbrellas were not available. The museum tour was below average and not what I had expected. Seeing how silk is made was also not what I had expected.

We will ensure to equip our vans with bottled water, Tissues and hand sanitizers moving forward. As for the unavailability of umbrellas, we acknowledge that we should have been better prepared for unexpected weather conditions. We will make sure to include umbrellas in our vans for future trips. We also sincerely apologize if our museum tour and silk weaving demonstration did not meet your expectations. The museum tour is designed to provide a unique glimpse into the region’s past, showcasing a traditional home with utensils and furniture used over many years. We understand that we did not make it clear, and will make sure to set the expectations correctly in the future. As for the silk weaving demonstration, it takes place in a city-based silk saree store to avoid long travel distances. The intention is to provide a quick overview of the weaving alone.
