Amazing tour in Julian Andean Park with amazing views
Had an amazing day hiking in the beautiful Juncal Andean Park! Nicolás is a fantastic guide—very knowledgeable, relaxed, and clearly loves what he does. We had perfect weather and incredible views of Aconcagua the whole way. Lunch by a quiet river was such a nice touch and really added to the experience. There were very few other people around, so it felt peaceful and almost like we had the park to ourselves. Easily one of the best hikes I did during my time in Chile. Highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Hi Ivana. Thank you very much for your kind words. I’m really glad you enjoyed your day in Juncal Andean Park, the views of Aconcagua, and the peaceful atmosphere of the valley. Sharing this hike and those quiet moments by the river was a real pleasure. Thank you for the recommendation, and I hope to welcome you back to the Andes in the future. Wish you all the best!

Great hike and a great guide
This is a beautiful hike up an alpine valley to a glacial lake. It is not too strenuous, and I was rewarded with wonderful views and weather the whole day. Nicolás of Coigüe Expeditions met me at my hotel and was a wonderful guide and companion throughout the day. A perfect choice, if your time in the Andes is limited to just one day!
Response from the operator: Hi Michael, Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to share your experience. I’m really happy to know you enjoyed the hike, the views, and the great weather we had that day. It was a real pleasure guiding you through the Andes and sharing this special corner of nature with you. I truly appreciate your recomendation and hope to welcome you back one day for another adventure in Chile!

A Full and Rewarding Day
Friendly, professional and knowledgeable guide, Nicholas, who balanced chatting, providing information and listening to the silence. Water and substantial box lunch provided. The hike ascends along the valley floor with the scenery and arriving at the glacier more than worth the effort. Plenty of opportunities for great stills and video as the perspective and light changed throughout the day. Highly recommended.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words, Chris! it really means a lot to me! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the hike and found the experience rewarding. It was a real pleasure sharing the day with you, and I’m happy you enjoy the quiet moments as nature definitely speaks for itself sometimes! Thanks again for joining the hike and for taking the time to share your thoughts. Hope our paths cross again on another trail on the future. All the best!

Sore legs well worth it for a great day! Stunning views and great company..
We had the best day hiking in the Juncal National Park with Nicolas! The views were stunning throughout and we only saw one family the whole day. It really felt like we had the park to ourselves which added to the serenity! Very different to some of the busy tours we’ve been on before. Nicolas was super knowledgeable about the mountains and nature and answered all the questions we through at him! We drunk the freshest water from a mountain stream, waded across a river and enjoyed lunch with views of the glacier 😍. The trek definitely felt long under the molten summer sun, Nicolas did say it was the hottest he’d ever experienced in the park, but the trail itself was easy technically. Nicolas was really great as a guide and by the end of it we felt like we’d spent the day hanging out with a friend. Would definitely recommend this tour!!!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your Andes hike experience with us, Melissa. We're delighted to hear about your fantastic day hiking in Juncal Private Park! It's wonderful that you enjoyed the breathtaking views and the peacefulness of having the park nearly to yourselves. Personally, it was a real pleasure to share with you in the mountains. I send you and Sam a warm greeting, and I hope to see you again in the future for new adventures!

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Juncal Andean Park: Hiking over a Glacial Tongue: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santiago.
How much does Juncal Andean Park: Hiking over a Glacial Tongue cost?
+
Prices start at $220 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santiago usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Juncal Andean Park: Hiking over a Glacial Tongue take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santiago is not rushed.
Is Juncal Andean Park: Hiking over a Glacial Tongue worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santiago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Juncal Andean Park: Hiking over a Glacial Tongue?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Juncal Andean Park: Hiking over a Glacial Tongue suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Juncal Andean Park: Hiking over a Glacial Tongue?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santiago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santiago and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Juncal Andean Park: Hiking over a Glacial Tongue start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santiago within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Santiago?
+
On Outty we rank every Santiago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Maipo Valley Wine Region: 4 Wineries, Tastings & Foodie Tour, Valparaiso Port and Viña del Mar with Casablanca Wine Tasting, Tour to Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Pablo Neruda Museum and Vineyard. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santiago?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santiago?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Juncal Andean Park: Hiking over a Glacial Tongue?
+
Included: Trekking poles; Comfortable transport; Professional guide; First aid kit; and Binoculars. Not included: Accident insurance; and Personal clothing. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
