A Day with JFK
I chose this tour to pass some time before my flight and although I had been to the area before, I had never been with a local tour guide. When you visit with a guide you are exposed to hidden gems, local myths, and obscure details that you didn’t know you didn’t know! Isaac was great. He text me his location for any questions, to ensure I had the meeting point, and was on track to start with the group. Yes, it is a walking tour, but we drove around downtown first to learn more about the history of Dallas, downtown Dallas, and JFK’s route. That was also a needed escape because the temperature and humidity was in full force. We then walked the perimeter of the school book depository, Dealey Plaza, and grassy knoll. Isaac had water and fans, which was awesome! Lastly, we visited Lee Harvey Oswald’s rooming house, JD Pruiit’s memorial, and the Texas theatre. Isaac closed by sending me links to explore more information on the events of that fateful day. Very informative. As a true JFK fan I enjoyed the tour and the social atmosphere. Thanks Isaac!

Disappointing
As out of towners we knew that going to the Kennedy museum was a priority. But we find out after the fact that you don’t go into the museum , you can drop us off there, but we have the paying additional $50 to you to go into the Museum.. We just didn’t want to take a ride. We wanted to get out and look at things. We sacrificed over $110 to your company and didn’t even take advantage of it because we really didn’t think that the tour was gonna be what we wanted. It didn’t sound anything like we wanted to do that’s why we want we took it upon ourselves to go to the museum. If there was a way that I could get my money back I would very disappointed in the explanations given in the third-party app that you made us take on to buy this package.
Response from the operator: We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed, but we believe this review misrepresents what occurred. We offer several different JFK tour options to accommodate different budgets and preferences. Some tours include admission to the Sixth Floor Museum, while others do not. You specifically booked the option that does not include museum tickets. This information is clearly outlined in the tour description, itinerary, and inclusions before a reservation is confirmed. What we do not understand is the expectation that museum admission should have been included free of charge when it was never purchased. The museum charges an admission fee, and those tickets are only included with the tour option that is specifically advertised as including them. Unfortunately, we cannot provide tickets that were never purchased as part of the reservation. Nothing about your tour changed after booking, and there were no hidden fees or last-minute surprises. The reservation you made was for the exact tour that was provided. While we certainly understand that you ultimately decided you wanted a different experience, that does not mean the tour was inaccurately described. We always encourage guests to review the itinerary and inclusions before purchasing so they can choose the package that best fits what they are looking for. Had you selected the JFK tour that includes Sixth Floor Museum admission, you would have received exactly the experience you were expecting.

Why this scores 83
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
JFK Assassination Tour with Oswald's Rooming House: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dallas.
How much does JFK Assassination Tour with Oswald's Rooming House cost?
+
Prices start at $56 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dallas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does JFK Assassination Tour with Oswald's Rooming House take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dallas is not rushed.
Is JFK Assassination Tour with Oswald's Rooming House worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 175 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dallas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule JFK Assassination Tour with Oswald's Rooming House?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is JFK Assassination Tour with Oswald's Rooming House suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book JFK Assassination Tour with Oswald's Rooming House?
+
Around 61 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dallas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dallas and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does JFK Assassination Tour with Oswald's Rooming House start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dallas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Dallas?
+
Dallas covers JFK and Sixth Floor Museum history tours, Fort Worth Stockyards cattle drives, Deep Ellum food and music walks, and Reunion Tower skyline views. Combined Dallas and Fort Worth tours vary a lot in how much time they actually spend in each. On Outty we rank every Dallas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include JFK Assassination and Museum Tour with Lee Harvey Oswald Rooming House, The Escape Game: Epic 60-Minute Adventures at Grapevine Mills, Dallas Sightseeing Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Dallas?
+
March to May and October to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Dallas?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
