Totally underwhelmed
We were so excited for this. What a let down we may have walked a total of two blocks. They give you some contraption to hear ghosts and scan for them. We started in a parking lot. Then in front of a church and inside a hot apartment. Ended in front of a smelter we had seen already just walking around. If you wanted to do the second part it was another $39 per person. We spent like a $100 for nothing They have to make this a lot better total let down. Honestly wish o could have got my money and time back for this.
Response from the operator: Hello Michelle, We appreciate all feedback from our customers. We strive to give every customer a fun and memorable experience, so it is unfortunate to hear when we occasionally miss the mark. We like to offer our customers the opportunity to experience the full spectrum of a ghost tour. Which would be providing Jerome's history, ghost lore and time for ghost hunting. The contraption you mention is called a spirit box. It used by many professional ghost hunters. As previously mentioned we give history and stories in each location, prior to ghost hunting. This allows our customers the understand the significance of us being in each location. Such as the parking lot, It is where Jerome's first hospital was located. For that reason we usually do well there. It is often reported back as a favorite location on the tour. As mentioned during the tutorial we cannot guarantee any activity. It is up to the spirits when and who they communicate with. Other times they really want to, but can't due to low energy. In most cases when the activity is low customers say they are happy to have learned Jerome's history and the stories we provided. Many customers really enjoy the first hour and like the opportunity to upgrade to the old high school and cemetery, so that's why we offer it when we can.

Fun time for a skeptic
Go for the 2 hour tour which includes the creepy parts. Didn’t really like the upsell mid tour, but also never saw 2 hour option when I bought. cemetery was interesting. Our guide was super sing-songy in his speech punctuated with a “haahaa” at his own jokes. Sorry but it was irritating to me personally.
Response from the operator: Hello Michelle, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! We like to offer the extension because many people that book through 3rd parties are unaware of the extended version. Others aren't entirely sure if they want to do the whole thing and like to have the option to call it at 1 hour or continue if they feel up to it. It isn't anything anyone needs to feel pressured to do by any means, we like to accommodate our customers with options. We are glad you found the cemetery interesting and enjoyed the creepy parts of the tour!

Waste of my money and time
Beyond stupid. You literally go stand in a parking lot, side of road, and a random empty room. Don’t book this.
Response from the operator: Hello Linda, We appreciate all feedback and the opportunity to respond. I'd like to start with we are passionate about what we do here and strive to give every customer a memorable experience. So to hear that we missed the mark with you is unfortunate. We like to incorporate both history and stories along with ghost hunting in each location. We also explain the significance of us being in each location. The parking lot is where we give the background on Jerome's fascinating history and also explain it was the location of Jerome's first hospital. Many customers say it's their favorite location. We then move down in front of the church. Where again provide history and stories on the popular haunted hotels in town. It sounds like you possibly didn't get the best communication during the tour. Which we do explain during the tutorial. The activity varies simply because it is up to the spirits who and when the communicate with anyone. Sometimes they want to and their energy level is low. In any case it is something we can't control. As much as we wish every customer could get the same amount of activity, it just doesn't work that way. A majority of our customers say they can appreciate all the history and stories provided throughout the tour when the activity is low.

An informative and fun time !!!
A very informative and fun tour. With lots of history of the town and it's haunts. Had a great tour guide for the one hour tour on Saturday August 1st. Sorry, I don't remember his name. He was very knowledgeable and a great sense of humor. Highly recommended on your visit to Jerome.

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Jerome Ghost Walk: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sedona.
How much does Jerome Ghost Walk cost?
+
Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sedona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Jerome Ghost Walk take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sedona is not rushed.
Is Jerome Ghost Walk worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 388 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sedona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Jerome Ghost Walk?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Jerome Ghost Walk suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Jerome Ghost Walk?
+
Around 136 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sedona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sedona and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Jerome Ghost Walk start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sedona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sedona?
+
Sedona's activity market is dominated by off-road jeep tours, and the difference between operators comes down to which trails they are permitted to run. Beyond that: vortex and energy walks, hot air balloon lifts at dawn, stargazing sessions in one of the darkest skies in the country, and Grand Canyon day runs north. We rank on permit access and group size. On Outty we rank every Sedona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small-Group Grand Canyon Complete Tour from Sedona or Flagstaff, Sedona’s ONLY Guided ATV Tour: Western Red Rock Backcountry, Sedona Off-Road Jeep Tour: Rugged Western Canyons & Wildlife. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sedona?
+
March to May and September to November. Summer afternoons bring monsoon storms. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sedona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
