What you'll see and do
Tham Sawan Kuha Temple, known to locals as Wat Tham (the "temple cave"), resides in a complex of caves near the town of Phang Nga, the capital of Phang Nga Province. It serves as a functioning and revered place of worship for local Buddhists and also as a tourist destination. The largest of the four-cave system, the subterranean Tham Yai, holds a number of standing and sitting Buddha figures and ceramic figures of spiritual significance. The highlight of the temple and the subject of worship for religious pilgrims and Buddhist monks is a spectacular 15-metre reclining gold Buddha. The subdued lighting of the cave combined with the limited natural light create a mystical, other-worldly atmosphere. The soft echo of voices and footsteps further adds to the ambience. Visitors reach Tham Yai via a gently-sloping staircase from the surface.

Fun-filled Day and Beautiful Sites
We were picked up on time at the designated pick-up point by a friendly guide and driver team. We first visited the Suwan Khuha Temple in a cave and found it interesting with its reclining Buddha and its location. Beware of the monkeys near the cave’s entrance and follow the instructions of the temple staff. After the temple visit, we traveled by long-tail boat to the floating Koh Panyi village where we had lunch and got to see the village. The village people were forthcoming and the food at the buffet where we ate was plentiful. There were only a few shops in which to buy local souvenirs. We departed the village and headed to a location nearby where we did a canoe tour of local limestone islands, which we enjoyed. From the national park where James Bond Island is located, you can see beautiful views of the “nail-shaped island” and its surroundings. It was a fun day filled with seeing beautiful sites.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share such a comprehensive review of your experience. We are delighted to hear that your day began smoothly with an on-time pickup and a friendly guide and driver. We also appreciate your helpful advice regarding the monkeys for future visitors. Your kind comments truly reflect the spirit of the tour, and we are grateful for your thoughtful feedback. Thank you again for your review, and we hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back for another memorable day in the future. Best Regards, Oh-Hoo Team

Overall a truly great experience - but perhaps a bit inefficient.
We have already recommended this tour to other people and we are very well pleased with what we got to do and see while on it. However, we did end up spending a lot of time waiting and we never got to see one thing on the itinerary (monkey temple). So while we still felt satisfied we also felt like a little more planning could make this trip a little more efficient than it was. Our tour guide, Sofee, was great!
Response from the operator: Dear tjurgense Thank you for your kind word to us and share your great experience to others traveler on Tripadvisor. We hopefully you got benefit from the tour you did it . We are looking forward to welcoming you return to Thailand again . Have a nice day ! Kind regards, Sugar OH-HOO TEAM

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
James Bond Island Sightseeing Tour by Longtail Boat from Phuket: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.
How much does James Bond Island Sightseeing Tour by Longtail Boat from Phuket cost?
+
Prices start at $1346 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does James Bond Island Sightseeing Tour by Longtail Boat from Phuket take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.
Is James Bond Island Sightseeing Tour by Longtail Boat from Phuket worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule James Bond Island Sightseeing Tour by Longtail Boat from Phuket?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is James Bond Island Sightseeing Tour by Longtail Boat from Phuket suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 4. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 7-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book James Bond Island Sightseeing Tour by Longtail Boat from Phuket?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does James Bond Island Sightseeing Tour by Longtail Boat from Phuket start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phuket?
+
On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phuket?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phuket?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
