Very considerate for Women travellers
The tour operator and guides were exceptionally helpful. Our hotel was outside the pickup zone, so a car was arranged for pickup and drop off for extra charges. We had a bonus stopover at a cave temple with reclining Buddha which we absolutely loved! The atmosphere felt like being in an Indiana Jones movie! At the atmosphere was so calm. Do remember to take a sarong of scarf which always comes in handy in Thailand. As a single mum travelling with two young children I felt very uncomfortable on our car journey to the island because we were grouped with a bunch of Indian men, who were extremely loud which felt intentional. The guffaws, shouts and sudden singing jolted us and we're deafening. They had no etiquette for group travels and their stares made my younger daughter uncomfortable. We requested for a change of car on on journey back, which was considered without question and was a huge relief! For the experience itself, we loved the canoe ride to the caves. James Bond island was a slight disappointment because there's nothing there to see really. All islands, jetty and restaurants had toilets. Please carry some loo rolls and travel size soaps nevertheless. We didn't find any at the temple. And if it's a peak season, soap can run out quickly. It was raining heavily on our way to the island but we felt completely safe with our guides and boatsmen.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words and your feedback!

Disorganized, poor communication, but beautiful islands
I’ve been on several 4 & 5 star viator trips, so still will use them as a booking company. However, this trip is not one that I would recommend unless it’s your only option to see the islands. Pick up: They offered to pick me up from my hotel which was great. Unfortunately pick up was late (not unexpected due to traffic), but as a result we only got 15 minutes at the caves which was okay with me. Noting in case anyone wanted more time here. Boat trip: We got back in the car to go to the boats, although this was not communicated clearly. I left my towel and water in the car as I wasn’t sure what we were doing & had done so at the previous stop, I asked and the tour guide was extremely rude to me asking why I did that. The introduction to the tour was very very hard to understand as a native English speaker. There were several signs showed about fees and fines presented. I completely understand there are rules but could have been presented nicely or as reminders. The next part of the tour was beautiful to the caves and James Bond island (it was crowded). I would highly recommend seeing the islands if you’re in Phuket. Lunch was a buffet with okay food and is not served until 2:30pm. Overall, the tour as disorganized with poor communication about what we were doing vs being enjoyable. I did go to phi phi islands the next day with Sawanu Travel which was an amazing experience that was super organized with fantastic guides. They offer a James Bond tour which may be better to do instead. Also I’m just a tourist, I have no affiliation with either of these companies, only sharing for others to enjoy their experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your valuable feedback. We apologize if any inconvenience has been encountered. Your tour was amended on Viator very last minute, if i remember correctly you amended you tour in 4 am in the morning and we still organized everything for you. Last minute changes sometimes cause these types of things. But no excuses and we sorry if the guide behavior not polite as well. Tour details and things to bring on the tour is perfectly understandable on the viator and Triadvisor website. we will try our best to serve best services Thanks and Regards

Why this scores 62
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
James Bond Island Tour By Longtail Boat: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Phuket.
How much does James Bond Island Tour By Longtail Boat cost?
+
Prices start at $2150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Phuket usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does James Bond Island Tour By Longtail Boat take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Phuket is not rushed.
Is James Bond Island Tour By Longtail Boat worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Phuket, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule James Bond Island Tour By Longtail Boat?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is James Bond Island Tour By Longtail Boat suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book James Bond Island Tour By Longtail Boat?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Phuket can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Phuket and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does James Bond Island Tour By Longtail Boat start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Phuket within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Phuket?
+
On Outty we rank every Phuket experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Southern Flavors Phuket Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, James Bond Island by Big Boat w/ Sea Cave Canoeing and Lunch, Phang Nga Bay Canoeing & James Bond Island Tour from Phuket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Phuket?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Phuket?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
