James Bond Island
James Bond Island is a famous landmark in Phang Nga Bay. It first found its way onto the international tourist map through its starring role in the James Bond movie, The Man with the Golden Gun. A distinctive trait of this famous bay is the number of sheer limestone cliffs that vertically jut out of the emerald-green water. The bizarre – why-doesn’t-it-fall-over – outline of James Bond Island or Koh Tapu ('nail island' in Thai), lies next to the equally popular Koh Ping Ghan (sometimes spelled as Ping Gan or Ping Gun). The entire area surrounding this island is indeed spectacular.

A scenic day exploring Phang Nga Bay
The limestone cliffs around Phang Nga Bay were even more impressive than I expected. James Bond Island was busy, but there was still enough time to enjoy the scenery and take photos. The boat ride itself was part of the experience.

Nice day!
Well organized, enough time to see everything. Just the weather was so, so. Recommended in the sunny day.

Enjoyable experience
A must visit island, you will never regret. I did not go from Krabi, but I went from my next location Phuket.Whenever you plan it either from Krabi or Phuket, plan it with speed boat. It should include National park fees and canoeing. It is cheaper from Krabi because of distance. Limestone caves, canoeing through rocks and photography at James Bond island is awesome. Lunch they provide is excellent. It is a full day trip. Bargain for best price before booking. You should book it after you reach Thailand.

Meaningless and touristy
We got picked up on time but the picking up of the whole group after us lasted at least 2 hours. Once arrived to the cave temple the guide only told us where the entrance was and where to see the monkeys, not a single word about the temple. We had very little time to visit it. The James Bond island and Talu caves parts where fine but very touristy and the water wasn't that good to take a swim. The last stop of the tour was the village Ko Panyee where the main attraction was the lunch, not a word was said from the guide about the village. We were dropped like a package for each stop, the guide was friendly but it's clear that the goal of these tours is to give people the impression that they're traveling
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on our tour. We apologize for any inconveniences you experienced during the travel. We are addressing your concerns to enhance our tour experiences. Your insights are invaluable as they help us improve and provide the best possible service to all our travelers. We hope to welcome you again with a better experience. Warm regards, Oh-Hoo Team

Why this scores 44
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay Tour from Krabi: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krabi.
How much does James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay Tour from Krabi cost?
+
Prices start at $1218 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krabi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay Tour from Krabi take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krabi is not rushed.
Is James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay Tour from Krabi worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 44 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 39 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Krabi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay Tour from Krabi?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay Tour from Krabi suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay Tour from Krabi?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krabi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krabi and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does James Bond Island and Phang Nga Bay Tour from Krabi start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krabi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krabi?
+
On Outty we rank every Krabi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full-Day Phi Phi Islands Tour with Lunch from Krabi, Phi Phi Early Bird & 4 Islands - Day Tour by Speedboat From Krabi, Railay and 4-Island Sunset Speedboat Cruise with Night Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krabi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krabi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
