Fun day in Negril!
The drive is long, but 7-mile beach and Rick's are worth it. Our driver told us about Jamaican and Rastafarian culture on the way. On the return trip, he played some awful rap music videos featuring gangsters firing automatic weapons and f-word threats. I asked him to turn it off and he did. Didn't fit the "One Love" vibe he'd discussed earlier! It was not a private tour, but we happened to be the only ones on our day.

Please read the reservation details carefully!! Massage not included!!
First, I want too say I love Jamaica and everyone is nice but me and my husband really don’t know how to feel about this experience. Second, I am currently writing this review at my resort right after returning. Third, all fees and taxes were not included. My first concern, the reservation changed a day before from 2PM to 11AM. I already had activities planned before they I had to cancel. I tried to negotiate to see if they would pick me up at a different time and they responded last minute. 11AM is here and our tour guide Reno asked us where our towels were and we stated we didn’t need one and he said it was mandatory so he took us to a gift shop. The staff at the gift shop was following us the entire time pressing us to buy things we got our towels told us one price but charged my card another. We meet our rafter at the bamboo rafting spot his name is England. England took us too a spot where there was music and a bar. When we arrived he directed us to a garden where there were photographers they told me to take a picture and asked if I wanted it for $40, I declined. The bar overcharged our drinks. There were other rafts and tourists who rafting there with us and we ended up being the first ones to leave. On the way back he asked us if we wanted a massage but never mentioned any extra charges. He also stated that he was going to get a female for my husband but it was a little girl. Something I definitely did not want to see. When they we were finished we tipped them and then said told us that the massage was $40 per person. That was not stated on this reservation. When we left, our tour guide Reno was laying on the vehicle we couldn’t find him at first. On the way too Negril, Reno introduced us to the seven mile beach but did not stop he said he had knew another spot called Negril Tree House. The cashier there told us it was $10 admission fee to access the beach pool drinks and food. We thought the beach and Ricks Cafe was at the same spot. We took a look around and didn’t really enjoy it much, it’s just not what we expected. We left no longer than 10 minutes. I asked Reno why the admission wasn’t included in the reservation and he stated that “you have to pay to go on all the beaches”. We enjoyed our time at Ricks Cafe I participated in jumping off the cliff, my husband got in the water. We left at 11AM and got back at 7PM. England was cool I still gave him a tip, i just don’t like how I wasn’t informed of the extra charges/services.

Book The Trip!!!!
I've gone rafting on the Lethe River before, but this time was truly the best! It felt like a real local gem, away from the tourist crowds. I wasn't rushed to finish my rafting experience or pressured to buy anything; I could simply enjoy the moment. The natural scenery along the river was beautiful, and our raft guide Josh and his uncle were fantastic. The foot massages were heavenly! A big thanks to my driver Andre, who was also wonderful. If I could rate this trip a 10/10, I absolutely would!

Great time for a solo traveler :-)
Ricardo was my guide for the day & he was FANTASTIC 🤩 This was my 1st time in Jamaica and I did this tour solo, so it felt very customizable. I would say my fav part of the tour was the beach at Negril & Ricks Cafe. Both were very memorable and I got some great photos at both locations. It’s a long day but worth it. Ricardo was very professional, helped answered all my questions, made recommendations & it felt hassle free. I fell asleep on the ride back to my hotel at MoBay and felt safe with Ricardo at the wheel. He was such a great guide & person I ended up booking him for my ride back to the airport. Don’t hesitate to book with M&M, you won’t regret it 🏖️ 🇯🇲

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Jamaica Adventure: Bamboo Rafting, Negril Beach & Rick's Sunset: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Montego Bay.
How much does Jamaica Adventure: Bamboo Rafting, Negril Beach & Rick's Sunset cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Montego Bay usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Jamaica Adventure: Bamboo Rafting, Negril Beach & Rick's Sunset take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Montego Bay is not rushed.
Is Jamaica Adventure: Bamboo Rafting, Negril Beach & Rick's Sunset worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Montego Bay, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Jamaica Adventure: Bamboo Rafting, Negril Beach & Rick's Sunset?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Jamaica Adventure: Bamboo Rafting, Negril Beach & Rick's Sunset suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Jamaica Adventure: Bamboo Rafting, Negril Beach & Rick's Sunset?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Montego Bay can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Montego Bay and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Jamaica Adventure: Bamboo Rafting, Negril Beach & Rick's Sunset start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Montego Bay within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Montego Bay?
+
On Outty we rank every Montego Bay experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Montego Bay Airport Transfer to Negril, Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls Private Tour from Montego Bay, Appleton Estate Admission Ticket & Distillery Tour with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Montego Bay?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Montego Bay?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
