Nice experience at Tropical Inn Beach Club
Nice experience on an urban beach in Cartagena, sharing the space with many local visitors. The club offers amenities and services to facilitate the enjoyment of a beach day. We really liked it and would come back. The transfer back by boat to Bocagrande was a bit chaotic, the drivers allow a number of people to enter over the capacity of the boat. The club should draw your attention to avoid possible uncomfortable and unsafe situations.

The best beach club on Terra Bomba
We had the most lovely day. We went during the week. They couldn't do enough for us.The usual massage ladies on the beach. Nice pool.

Disappointment on Tierra Bomba Island
A tease. You arrive by boat and the different bars-clubs compete for tourists as they arrive. Everyone tries to sell what they call excursions at an exorbitant price. The food is hopefully mediocre, if not terrible. Furthermore, it is served in very unhygienic conditions. The bathrooms are plainly unhealthy (they also drain on the beach itself). My advice is to buy a package that includes one of the largest (and most expensive) hotels and avoid the cheap ones on the beach where they will charge you extra for everything (including bathing, changing clothes, water, etc. Recommended activity for tourists who wish to spend a day under the hot sun or an umbrella. Not suitable for tourists who want to walk or get to know the island (there is literally nothing beyond the umbrellas).

Not worth the hassle and stress!
I took this trip with my partner today, and it was bizarre from start to finish. Firstly, the pictures are inaccurate at best. We waited 90 minutes at the port to be collected, nobody had any record of our reservation and nobody helped us at all, the people at the port were downright rude. There were only 5 people on this "tour" and there was no guide or anything. Eventually, we set off 90 minutes later, only to arrive at the island to the empty hotel pool area and be questioned in Spanish as to why we were there. The tour provider, Serviexpress, took our money and didnt tell anyone we were arriving. We felt really awkward, unwelcome and upset and immediately wanted to go home again. The boat journey was 10 minutes of intense fear. We ordered some drinks and water and when I went to pay the guy at reception overcharged me. The beach was fine, the food was good and there were a couple of very pleasant members of staff. Overall, don't waste your money and fall for this scam!

Small resort with pool and beach
This was a pleasant little resort and a fair price for escaping the heat of Cartagena. On value for the price I gave it four stars. I demoted one star because of the extremely loud music (over the top loud, in my opinion) from the resort adjacent. Not this resort's fault. I asked the reception to see if he could get the volume reduced, and he did, just a smidge. The changing room was basically a small bath. Towels were provided, which was nice. The free lunch was decent; free coffee and one juice also. Other food could be purchased. A good family place.

Why this scores 54
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Isla Tierra Bomba Tropical Inn Cartagena Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.
How much does Isla Tierra Bomba Tropical Inn Cartagena Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $82 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Isla Tierra Bomba Tropical Inn Cartagena Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.
Is Isla Tierra Bomba Tropical Inn Cartagena Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Isla Tierra Bomba Tropical Inn Cartagena Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Isla Tierra Bomba Tropical Inn Cartagena Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Isla Tierra Bomba Tropical Inn Cartagena Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Isla Tierra Bomba Tropical Inn Cartagena Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cartagena?
+
On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cartagena Antigua & Barrio Getsemani group with audio system, Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena VIP Boat Tour: Rosario Islands & Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cartagena?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cartagena?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
