The Nomad Rosario Islands Experience was created for travelers who want a more affordable option without sacrificing the quality, organization and peace of mind of a trusted Pana Tours experience. Cartagena has many inexpensive island tours, but some can involve crowded stops, persistent vendors, unexpected expenses or places selected mainly to encourage additional purchases. Nomad was designed as an alternative for travelers who simply want to enjoy the Rosario Islands with an experienced team, clear inclusions and a more relaxed atmosphere. You’ll travel by sport boat to the Rosario Islands and enjoy two snorkeling sessions with equipment included, followed by time to relax and enjoy the facilities away from the constant crowds and sales pressure found at many public tourist stops. Lunch is also included. Nomad follows the same operational standards and experienced team behind our VIP experience, but with fewer extras to keep the price more accessible.

No Reason Not to Do This
Had a great time, the waters were beautiful. Its certainly worth gettig on a boat to visit these other islands; the water looks MUCH better than what you see on the shores in Cartagena near Boca Grande for example. I wasn’t crazy about the snacks they offered (arepa and shrimp ceviche) but it was decent. The lunch was really good though (fish). The water was choppy on the way back - in the afternoon - but that’s just part of the fun/experience! Expect to get wet. You might even want to wear your snorkling goggles during the ride back home so your eyes dont get red from the salt water. William was an awesome guide, friendly gentleman who speaks good English and has a good time with his job. Captain Jesus got us back safely and on time. Great experience - I might do it again next year !

A must-see in cartagena
My friend and I had the best day! William is a one-of-a-guide who went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a good time. Incredible blue water and some of the best snorkeling! Lunch was delicious too with options for everyone. It was a 10/10 experience. Ask William to rap Gangstas Paradise for you! The rest of the staff were amazing too and so hardworking. Would definitely recommend. (not for people who get seasick).

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Island Hopping VIP - 2 snorkel - Nomad version: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.
How much does Island Hopping VIP - 2 snorkel - Nomad version cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Island Hopping VIP - 2 snorkel - Nomad version take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.
Is Island Hopping VIP - 2 snorkel - Nomad version worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Island Hopping VIP - 2 snorkel - Nomad version?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Island Hopping VIP - 2 snorkel - Nomad version suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Island Hopping VIP - 2 snorkel - Nomad version?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Island Hopping VIP - 2 snorkel - Nomad version start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cartagena?
+
On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena Antigua & Barrio Getsemani group with audio system, Cartagena VIP Boat Tour: Rosario Islands & Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cartagena?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cartagena?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Island Hopping VIP - 2 snorkel - Nomad version?
+
Included: Alcoholic beverages; Lunch; Use of snorkeling equipment; and Private transportation. Not included: Tips; and Meals. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.

+

What languages is Island Hopping VIP - 2 snorkel - Nomad version offered in?
+
