Okay Experience.
This was a okay catamaran cruise, I was the travel agent for my family of 11 who did the cruise there was water, however, the catamaran was dated, they didn't have snacks available, and when it was time to swim with the shark the water was dirty looking I personally got my money back and didn't get in we were left to stand in the hot sun with NO where to sit some of us where seniors that wasn't good at all. Finally, once we got to the place where lunch was served it was good and there was places to buy souvenirs not too pricey. Also, there was a port fee assessed after we had already paid for the cruise. Not a happy camper.
Response from the operator: The tour did not include snacks, it did not include any shark related activity All Isla Mujeres Catamaran tours and almost all boat related tours have a federal dock fees not included It seems that you left this review to the wrong company

I won’t use this company again
The photo misled me to think this is a different type of catamaran (white one with the nets where you could sit). I am disappointed booking and paying more for the price of the catamaran that I want to go. One snorkel spot which I couldn’t go because they ran out of the gear. Two stops, one at the playa Norte and another spot where you eat a bad taste of buffet food. I think I rather pay to eat than the buffet that is offered. Overall, not that great for $316. They got our family 4 mixed up as well.
Response from the operator: There were photos of a double decker Catamaran, there was never photos of any sailing ones. In any case, the product says that the catamaran could be double decker or sailing It's impossible for the Catamaran to run out of snorkel equipment, there are back ups and it's almost the double of the number of people The buffet is mexican food, we understand that you may not like it, but that was specify at the description There was no such "mixed up" with your family, claiming things does not make them real We are sorry that you were not confortable, in any case, we'll try to improve it to avoid bad experiences like yours

Fun experience
The crew was wonderful and so much fun. Definitely a party on board. The buffet wasn’t good and the snorkeling wasn’t really snorkeling. Still got to see some fish but don’t count on the trip for snorkeling. The island was fun and plenty of time to explore.
Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing us to share this experience with you This tour is meant to party and to have fun, the snorkel is not really the highlight. We are goad that you got to enjoy the party and the visit and free time at the Island

Good
An incredible experience! Highly recommended We had a great time snorkelling and visiting the island. The staff on and off the catamaran were friendly and helpful. The open bar and buffet were awesome, I really enjoyed this experience.
Response from the operator: Isla Mujeres is a great place, it has something special for everyone. It has a mix of nature, good people and great culture Come again soon to enjoy the open bar once more!

Isla Mujeres Catamaran Unlimited! from Cancun & Playa del Carmen: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.
How much does Isla Mujeres Catamaran Unlimited! from Cancun & Playa del Carmen cost?
+
Prices start at $84 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Isla Mujeres Catamaran Unlimited! from Cancun & Playa del Carmen take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.
Is Isla Mujeres Catamaran Unlimited! from Cancun & Playa del Carmen worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Isla Mujeres Catamaran Unlimited! from Cancun & Playa del Carmen?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Isla Mujeres Catamaran Unlimited! from Cancun & Playa del Carmen suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Isla Mujeres Catamaran Unlimited! from Cancun & Playa del Carmen?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Isla Mujeres Catamaran Unlimited! from Cancun & Playa del Carmen start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
