    Terrible shuttle back to resort

The transportation option was fine on the way there but it sucked on the way back when 6’4” partner was asked to give up his single captains seat in the transport to accommodate a late obese woman. He was then forced into the beach seat with me and 3 other people in the back - it was a very packed transport and very uncomfortable. I have never been so uncomfortable on a shuttle! There was no care taken to make sure we were okay on that ride home. I would never have e agreed to the day if I knew they were going to sardine can us like that at the end. Beware!

Response from the operator: > Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear the return transportation was uncomfortable and did not meet your expectations. Your comments regarding seating arrangements and guest comfort are important to us, and we'll share them with our operations team to help improve the experience. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know. What To Do In Cancun Customer service team

Nice way to get to Isla Mujeres

This experience was pretty good for the value. The only thing that could have been improved was the interaction from the guide in the beginning of the trip to the island. The party only started once we were heading back to cancun. Snorkeling could have also used better direction for first timers. But great experience overall all I would do it again.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your thoughtful review! We're glad to hear you found the experience to be a great value and that you would choose to do it again. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the guide's interaction at the beginning of the tour and the snorkeling instructions for first-time participants. Your comments are valuable and will be shared with the operating team as we continue working to improve the guest experience. We hope to welcome you back again soon! Beautiful waters

We had a great time on this excursion. Our guide Noah was excellent and warned us of scams on the island which was very helpful. The crew was top notch too working hard to ensure our drinks were always full and we were having a good time. The only thing we did enjoy was the food at the beach club, not great and watered down drinks as well at the beach club. But, otherwise the experience was amazing the island beaches are gorgeous and we all had a great time.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you had such a great time and that Noah and the crew made your experience so enjoyable. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the food and drinks at the beach club, and we'll be sure to share it with the operating team. We hope to welcome you back for another amazing adventure soon! What To Do In Cancun Customer service team

    The snorkling portion was...

The snorkling portion was mediocre at best, short and rushed and while we saw lots of fish, we didn't see anything else and we only saw all the fish because our guide was baiting them. The second we stepped off the catamaran it was chaos. Little direction other than warning us to not get scammed and in order to do that we needed to buy stuff only from the guides "friends." Isla Mujeres beaches are beautiful and the water is perfect, however, we only got access to the beach club loungers for an hour and a half. It was nice to have free time to explore but Isla has gotten so over crowded and is such a tourist trap. I cant tell you how many people we had come up to us claiming they were our waiter from the hotel the night before just to try and sell you overpriced junk. There are some cute shops and if you go off the main strip, you can find some nice shop owners who arent crazy pushy. Though the prices arent very clear so be sure to ask your total before you pay. The guys on the catamaran were nice but were very pushy about tips. We paid $250+ to be there which in all honesty is not worth what you get. All and all, I would go with another group next time or skip Isla all together and go to Cozumel instead. The snorkling is way better there.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience and the concerns you have shared. We appreciate your comments and will review them internally with the appropriate teams. We hope to have the opportunity to improve your experience in the future. Isla Mujeres Day Tour with Catamaran, Snorkeling & Beach Club: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.

How much does Isla Mujeres Day Tour with Catamaran, Snorkeling & Beach Club cost?

    +

Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Isla Mujeres Day Tour with Catamaran, Snorkeling & Beach Club take?

    +

Plan for about 7.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.

Is Isla Mujeres Day Tour with Catamaran, Snorkeling & Beach Club worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 75 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 172 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Isla Mujeres Day Tour with Catamaran, Snorkeling & Beach Club?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Isla Mujeres Day Tour with Catamaran, Snorkeling & Beach Club suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Isla Mujeres Day Tour with Catamaran, Snorkeling & Beach Club?

    +

Around 60 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 7.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Isla Mujeres Day Tour with Catamaran, Snorkeling & Beach Club start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cancun?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cancun?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cancun?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
