Disappointed, they hook up with cheap price, but then charge you extra activities. Are not clear on what they offer
The company is not clear on what it offers, since once on the trip it offers other activities that have additional cost, and the overlap of times between those who perform those activities and those who do not hire them cause the trip to become boring. They charge a tax to go to the island, but you don't even land on the island.

Terrible experience, do NOT recommend.
Would not recommend. Do not buy from Viator or working with the company, Grupo Naviero de la Bahía. We arrived 10 minutes prior to check in as instructed by our “tour guide” and reservation. When we arrived we were told they were not open, so waited around for another 15 minutes or so. Finally we got checked in and paid the additional tax, which on the reservation said 10 USD per person, we had a group of 10. Turns out they DO NOT accept USD after once again being told to bring USD from our reservation. We paid the tax in pesos, and then proceeded to wait close to 2 hours to finally even line up for the boat, which was also late. Then when trying to board the boat, we were denied as there is yet ANOTHER tax we were not informed of, and told to go back and speak with the check in desk. By the time we got back we were called and told the boat was leaving. We waited around for 2 hours, and were not informed by either Viator during the reservation or communication with the tour guide via the app OR Grupo Naviero de la Bahía during check in that there was yet ANOTHER fee/tax and because of that missed the tour all together. This was a terrible experience! After missing the boat because of the lack of information/communication I requested we get our cash back for what we paid upon arrival and were denied. So we paid, and did not receive the tour.
Response from the operator: We received notice that you arrived at the marina refusing to pay the taxes that were clearly stated at the desctription that they were not included in the tour After refusing you went pass the check in trying to board the boat and they stop you The tax was the exact amount as it is described, nothing like what you wrote in this review

Isla tour
This was a nice tour but everything is extra. We did not snorkel because there was a lot of jellyfish in the water. The tour around the Island was extra which I felt should have been included in the trip.
Response from the operator: The only thing extra is the optional tour of the Island, nothing more Saying "everything is extra" does not make sense

Awesome crew
We had a motor issue but the crew took care of us. We made the best of it and had lots of fun. Still completed our tour, took a little longer than expected but once again the crew was amazing. Definitely recommended
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing this experience with us! We appreciate the kind words towards the guides We hope to see you soon!

A Wildlife Filled Day on the Bahia
What a gift if a day! We saw a whale breech 10 times in a row...3 pods of dolphins surround and play with our boat as well as the unique blue-footed booby birds on Las Marietas. Snorkeling was very disappointing though. Sea to rough and too many people. Staff were very attentive and helpful not to mention the entertainment they provided! One suggestion: turn the volume down on the sound system!
Response from the operator: It's great to know that you enjoyed the adventure with us Islas Marietas has a huge amount of species of bird, fish and more. We are glad that you got to spot so many of them We will take note on the comments to improve, thank you for everthing!

Why this scores 52
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Isla Marietas Catamaran Tour! Full Day Nature Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Puerto Vallarta.
How much does Isla Marietas Catamaran Tour! Full Day Nature Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $67 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Puerto Vallarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Isla Marietas Catamaran Tour! Full Day Nature Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Puerto Vallarta is not rushed.
Is Isla Marietas Catamaran Tour! Full Day Nature Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Puerto Vallarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Isla Marietas Catamaran Tour! Full Day Nature Adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Isla Marietas Catamaran Tour! Full Day Nature Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Isla Marietas Catamaran Tour! Full Day Nature Adventure?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Puerto Vallarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Puerto Vallarta and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Isla Marietas Catamaran Tour! Full Day Nature Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Puerto Vallarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Puerto Vallarta?
+
On Outty we rank every Puerto Vallarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Winner 2026 Downtown Vallarta Food Tour with Vallarta Food Tours, Signature Taco Tour in PV with Vallarta Eats, Food & Mixology Tour:Tequila,Tacos, Mezcal and Agave Cocktails. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Puerto Vallarta?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Puerto Vallarta?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
