Fun ATV/Snow Mobile tour
This was a very fun private tour. We went in early April and much of the snow melted from the warm march. Instead of snow mobiling we went ATving. The guide was very good and we had fun. After the ride, we had a delicious lunch in an igloo. Really delightful. I'll note that once the reindeer are released for the spring (usually end of March) you likely will not see reindeer on the tour. We did not. Still enjoyed it.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the transition to ATVs—early April can certainly be a bit unpredictable with the spring thaw, but we're glad the ride and the guide hit the mark for you. Dining in the igloo is one of our favorite experiences to host, so it’s great to hear that lunch was a highlight! We also really appreciate you mentioning the reindeer schedule. You’re absolutely right—once they head out for the spring, they tend to enjoy their own private 'vacation' in the wild! We're so glad that even without our antlered friends, the tour was a delight for you. We hope to see you again—perhaps during the peak of winter next time if you still have 'snowmobiling' on your bucket list! Thanks again for joining us. The Guide Father Team

No reindeer but still worth it!
Even though we didn’t see any reindeer, it was a very nice experience. The meal was top shelf. Our guide was excellent.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear that the meal hit the mark and that your guide made the experience special. While the reindeer are usually our 'stars,' they sometimes prefer the quiet of the woods to the spotlight. We’re so glad that even without a sighting, the rest of the adventure was 'top shelf' for you. We’d love to have you back again—perhaps next time the reindeer will be more cooperative! 🦌✨

Fantastic tour from star to finish - 10/10 recommend!
We had an incredible afternoon on our private tour with Alex and The Guide Father! From start to finish, everything was thoughtfully arranged and so much fun for our whole family. Since our 4-year-old is too small to ride a snowmobile, we were able to ride in a heated sleigh instead — what an experience! Gliding through the snowy landscape all cozy and warm felt magical. My husband and I were also able to trade off, which meant I got the chance to drive a snowmobile myself — such a thrill! Lapland is truly a breathtaking winter wonderland, and this tour was the perfect way to explore more of it. The scenery was absolutely stunning. To top it all off, we enjoyed a three-course Finnish lunch in an igloo with a warm fire crackling inside — simply incredible. The food was delicious, and the igloo had such a cozy, vibey atmosphere that made the whole experience feel extra special. Thank you for such a memorable and well-organized afternoon — we loved every minute of it!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re absolutely delighted to hear that you and your family had such an incredible afternoon with Alex and The Guide Father. It means the world to us that every detail - from the heated sleigh ride to the snowmobile experience - helped make your day both exciting and comfortable for everyone, especially your little one. We’re also thrilled you enjoyed the three-course Finnish lunch in the igloo. There’s something truly unforgettable about sharing a warm meal by the fire in such a unique setting, it makes the whole Arctic experience even more special. Thank you again for your kind words. We hope to welcome you back to Lapland for another magical adventure in the future! ❄️

Outstanding tour with beautiful views!
What a great experience! Our guide Vadym was incredible! Very knowledgeable and fun. We had 3 different types of vehicles to choose from and could even choose to be pulled in a sled. Amazing views all put by ourselves in the deep woods. Much higher quality snowmobile that we chose versus a different tour operator we used the day before. The lunch in the igloo was excellent! Very cool setting and delicious food. Pickup and drop off was in a much nicer vehicle then other tours. Highly highly recommend The Guide Father and Vadym in particular. We will book all of our tours with them when we come back!
Response from the operator: Dear Matthew, thank you so much for your detailed feedback and opinion! This is very important for our business and future travellers. We kindly appreciate your opinion! Welcome back to our place at any time of the year! Best regards

Luxury Reindeer tour
This was one of the best experiences we've ever had! The first class service started from the pick up and went through the drop off. We were able to see 13 Reindeer which was so amazing! We also got to see beautiful lakes and scenery. The food was 5 star. I'm vegan and was pleasantly surprised how great the food was. I would definitely recommend. Thank you so much!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for choosing us in Rovaniemi! You welcome back in winter season! Best regards, The Guide Father

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
INTO THE WILD: PRIVATE SAFARI & Lunch by the Fire in Glass Igloo*: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rovaniemi.
How much does INTO THE WILD: PRIVATE SAFARI & Lunch by the Fire in Glass Igloo* cost?
+
Prices start at $285 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rovaniemi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does INTO THE WILD: PRIVATE SAFARI & Lunch by the Fire in Glass Igloo* take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rovaniemi is not rushed.
Is INTO THE WILD: PRIVATE SAFARI & Lunch by the Fire in Glass Igloo* worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rovaniemi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule INTO THE WILD: PRIVATE SAFARI & Lunch by the Fire in Glass Igloo*?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is INTO THE WILD: PRIVATE SAFARI & Lunch by the Fire in Glass Igloo* suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book INTO THE WILD: PRIVATE SAFARI & Lunch by the Fire in Glass Igloo*?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rovaniemi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rovaniemi and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does INTO THE WILD: PRIVATE SAFARI & Lunch by the Fire in Glass Igloo* start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rovaniemi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rovaniemi?
+
On Outty we rank every Rovaniemi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Northern Lights Rovaniemi: Guaranteed Viewing & Unlimited Mileage, Rovaniemi: Korouoma Canyon & Frozen Waterfalls Tour with BBQ, Rovaniemi:%100 Guaranteed Northern Lights Hunt&Free Photos. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rovaniemi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rovaniemi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
