It was cancelled but we...
It was cancelled but we were there before there was a line. Got right in! Toured the cathedral on our own with the app. Worked out fine.
Response from the operator: We are sorry that your guided tour of Notre-Dame Cathedral could not take place as originally scheduled. Prior to the tour, we contacted you to inform you of the cancellation and offered an alternative date. We regret that the proposed option was not suitable for your plans, but we are pleased that you were still able to enter the cathedral easily and enjoy a self-guided visit using the official app. We apologize again for the disruption to your original booking and appreciate your feedback. Not Worth It
I did a lot of online research choosing a tour for Notre Dame. I read many reviews and finally decided on Elysiago. We arrived in Paris, and this was to be our first tour the following morning. Our tour was canceled that night at 9:50 by email. If I had not seen the email, we would have walked downstairs the following morning at 8 am to meet the taxi we had reserved for a tour that was not happening. The link for more information provided in the email did not work, so there was nothing I could do. I was completely disgusted! After I read the email, I immediately went to the lobby and spoke with a hotel staff member to cancel the taxi, but he convinced me to go ahead anyway. He said it was FREE to go into Notre Dame, reservations are not required, the guides cannot speak inside (silence), and we should get inside quickly at that time of day. He was absolutely correct! We walked straight into Notre Dame at 8:15 and walked around on our own without direction. I am certain we missed some things, but we bought a small guidebook at the desk inside Notre Dame to explain some of it. I am thankful we did not cancel our plans since this was our first full day in Paris and Notre Dame was high on our priority list of places to visit. Even though we were to receive a refund, I would be reluctant to sign up with this tour guide again.
Response from the operator: We sincerely apologize for the late cancellation of your Inside Notre-Dame Tour and for the additional frustration caused by the non-functioning information link. Receiving notice at 9:50 PM before a morning tour did not give you the time or support you reasonably expected, especially after carefully planning your first day in Paris. Although unforeseen operational circumstances required us to cancel the guided visit, we recognize that our communication should have been clearer and more timely. Your refund was processed, and your comments have been shared with our team to help us improve how we manage cancellations and provide assistance to affected guests. We are pleased that you decided to continue with your plans and were able to visit Notre-Dame Cathedral independently. Nevertheless, we fully understand that this did not replace the licensed guided tour you had researched and booked, and we regret that we did not provide the experience you expected from ElysiaGo. Worst tour booking company!
NEVER BOOK WITH VIATOR!! There are so many better companies. They RUINED OUR VISIT TO PARIS. Not only did the guide not show up for our tour of Notre Dame, the customer service person had no way to contact the local provider. We could only text them and they never responded. We travel several times a year and we will NEVER use Viator again. Please heed my warning
Response from the operator: We sincerely apologize that your Notre-Dame guided tour did not take place as expected. We understand how upsetting this must have been, especially during a carefully planned visit to Paris. After becoming aware of the situation, our team attempted to contact you directly to provide assistance and clarify what had happened. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response to our follow-up communication. We also regret that Viator’s customer service team was unable to reach us promptly while you were waiting. This experience does not reflect the standard of service we aim to provide. We take your concerns seriously and are reviewing the circumstances with both the guide and our support team to prevent a similar situation from happening again. ElysiaGo Team

Cancellation day before no alternate arrangements & no tickets available on Cathedral website. Very unprofessional
This tour was cancelled the day before!! We booked over 60 days ago. We tried getting (free) Cathedral tickets on the Cathedral website for the same day when we learned of the cancellation, but they were SOLD OUT! The short notice is very unprofessional. Elsiago was scheduled to be our guide. If he had an issue & was unable to tour, then his company should have found a replacement. We are only in Paris 2 days & visiting the rebuilt Cathedral was at the top of our list. Extremely disappointed as to how this was handled on short notice. Of course we expect to get our money back. But we will be unable to visit now. Avoid booking with this company.
Response from the operator: We sincerely apologize for the disappointment caused by the cancellation of your Inside Notre-Dame Tour, particularly as visiting the cathedral was a priority during your limited time in Paris. Before the cancellation was finalized, our team attempted to contact you regarding your booking and possible alternative arrangements, but unfortunately, we did not receive a response. When we were unable to secure a suitable replacement guide, we had no choice but to cancel the tour. We recognize that the short notice left you with very limited options and understand your frustration. For clarification, ElysiaGo is the tour operator rather than the name of an individual guide. Your refund will be processed through the platform used for your reservation. We regret that we were unable to provide the Notre-Dame guided experience you had planned and sincerely apologize for the disruption to your visit. ElysiaGo Team

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Inside Notre-Dame Tour with a Licensed Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Paris.
How much does Inside Notre-Dame Tour with a Licensed Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Paris usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Inside Notre-Dame Tour with a Licensed Guide take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Paris is not rushed.
Is Inside Notre-Dame Tour with a Licensed Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 224 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Paris, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Inside Notre-Dame Tour with a Licensed Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Inside Notre-Dame Tour with a Licensed Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Inside Notre-Dame Tour with a Licensed Guide?
+
Around 78 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Paris can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Paris and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Inside Notre-Dame Tour with a Licensed Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Paris within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Paris?
+
Paris rewards travelers who book ahead. The headline museums sell timed entry weeks out, the best food walks cap at eight people, and the Seine cruises that are worth doing are the ones that leave after sunset. Everything below is scored by the Outty Ranking so you can tell a genuine local favorite from a coach-tour filler in a single glance. On Outty we rank every Paris experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Louvre Museum Essential Guided Tour Semi Private 6 GUESTS MAX, Louvre Museum Premium Guided Tour 6 GUESTS MAX Entry Included, Paris City Center Free Walking Tour (Tip-Based). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Paris?
+
April to June and September to October, when queues thin out and terraces stay open late. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Paris?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
