    About this experience

Prepare for a thrilling experience of one of the most genuine Swedish traditions Sauna and Ice-bathing. Just 20 minutes outside the city of Stockholm, in the forest, is a small lake and a local hot wooden Sauna. In the winter the lake is covered by ice and its been a long tradition to enjoy the health benefits of the contrast of the hot and cold that makes you feel alive and energized. For those who are well familiar with ice-bathing know how this will leave you with a feeling of deep relaxation and refreshment. And if you dare the challenge to get in the ice-cold lake that will be a high achievement with its own rewards. Here we also have our most popular nature reserve where you will find a recreation center for outdoor activities with a history that dates back to the late 1800th century. The local restaurant and cafe celebrates its 81st year of hosting guests by a warm fireplace and cozy atmosphere with a feel good after ski vibe.

    A REALLY HOT ACTIVITY

One of the best experiences we have ever had!!! Our guide took care of us through the whole activity. The sauna, which was very comfortable and clean, is located near the city, by a beautiful lake. The feeling of being inside an hot room and then jumping into the lake has no equal. The restaurant was beautiful and food there was delicious. We could do this activity every single day. Highly recommendable!!!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review and company! Im so happy to hear that you enjoyed! I hope to see you your back here soon! Happy returns 🤗

Decompression and relaxation as much as possible

Living this traditional experience in Stockholm in a haven of peace was a real treat. Nothing would have been possible without the presence of Alexandra, who was able to give us confidence, with her calm and her benevolence. Then end with a delicious meal with the locals what better way to end our stay in Stockholm 😉

Response from the operator: Thank you so much Christelle, it was wonderful to host you and I wish you had a great New Year in Stockholm! Happy returns 🤗💦

    Fantastic!

What a truly lovely experience! Alexandra did an amazing job with guiding me through the traditional Swedish sauna and cold plunge experience. This was my first time doing so and she made me feel really comfortable and safe, which was extremely important as a 30 something year old female solo traveler. I highly recommend this experience and Alexandra! You won’t regret it!

Response from the operator: Thank you Shawna! It was such a treat and so nice to get to know you! Warm welcome back!! 🙏💦

Wonderful outdoor experience close to Stockholm!

Great outdoor experience. As someone who likes to experience what the locals do, this outdoor activity was a home run for us. We were able to attend a dry sauna and utilize a nearby lake for the ice plunge in Stockholm. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and Alexandra, our tour guide, was very sweet and knowledgeable! It was very easy to navigate to meet with our guide, and if we wanted to, could have stayed longer in the protected forest to hike and relax.

Response from the operator: Thank you for joining me and congratulations for the ice plunge in +4C !! Enjoy the rest of your stay and warm welcome back!

Icebathing and Sauna in Stockholm nature: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Stockholm.

How much does Icebathing and Sauna in Stockholm nature cost?

    +

Prices start at $1575 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Stockholm usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Icebathing and Sauna in Stockholm nature take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Stockholm is not rushed.

Is Icebathing and Sauna in Stockholm nature worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Stockholm, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Icebathing and Sauna in Stockholm nature?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Icebathing and Sauna in Stockholm nature suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Icebathing and Sauna in Stockholm nature?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Stockholm can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Stockholm and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Icebathing and Sauna in Stockholm nature start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Stockholm within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Stockholm?

    +

On Outty we rank every Stockholm experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Stockholm: Walking Tour of the Old Town, Best of Stockholm: Small Group Walking Tour (Max 10, 3 Hours), Vasa Museum Guided Tour, Including Ticket & Guide. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Stockholm?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Stockholm?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
