Highly recommended
An absolutely fantastic experience with Sleipnir Tours on Langjökull! Everything was very well organized, the service was excellent, and I couldn’t recommend this tour more. A special thank you to Kim, our guide, and Gatis, our driver, who made the experience truly unforgettable. They were both incredibly professional, warm, and welcoming, and I felt completely in good hands throughout the trip. A 5-star experience from start to finish.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted you had such a memorable experience on Langjökull glacier. Kim and Gatis will be thrilled to hear your kind words. We truly appreciate your recommendation and 5-star rating!

With dozens of options, choose Sleipnir!
Wonderful tour! The guide entertained us with many stories and folklore of the region along the way. The monster truck, Sleipnir, really made the tour stand out from others. It made for a very comfortable and smooth ride. We had plenty of time to explore the natural ice cave that they find with assistance from park rangers. Accessible for many different skill levels and ages. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone!
Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the stories, the smooth ride in Sleipnir, and exploring the natural ice cave during the winter season. It’s great to hear the tour felt comfortable and accessible for everyone. We truly appreciate the recommendation!

Recommend for everyone!
As this was my third time visiting a glacier in Iceland (my first two trips were to Vatnajökull), this tour was by far the most enjoyable. It felt much easier, with less hiking on uneven and slippery ice. The Sleipnir truck can drive directly on the glacier and takes you very close to the ice cave, which made the experience even more comfortable. We also had a Canadian guide who shared fascinating insights about Iceland’s landscapes and folklore. 5/5 – highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the great review. We designed the tour to be easy, with only a short walk. That makes this ice cave more accessible, besides riding in a comfy Monster truck! Thank you for your kind words about our Guide Kimberly, she was happy to hear that. Kind regards, Sleipnir Glacier Tours Team

Exelent trip to Langjökull
This trip up to Langjökull with Sleipnir Tours was absolutely fantastic in every way. It’s amazing to sit in that large, custom-built red truck in such comfortable seats and hardly feel the rough terrain at all—the experience is almost like sitting on your sofa at home. Both the guide and the driver were excellent, which played a big part in making the trip so memorable. The guide shared entertaining stories connected to the surroundings we were traveling through. Safety was also clearly a top priority, both during the drive and inside the ice cave. I wholeheartedly recommend taking a tour with Sleipnir Tours up onto the glacier.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your great review. The Sleipnir Trucks were specially built to be comfy, and with the individual suspension on each tyre, this is the case. Thank you for writing about it, we feel that is one of the major points on our tour! Thank you for your kind words about our guide and driver. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour. Kind regards, Sleipnir Glacier Tours Team

Best experience ever!
My teenagers and I agreed that this was the best experience in our week-long Iceland adventure! The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The drive to the ice cave was about 90 minutes and, because it had snowed the night before, the "road" conditions were crazy at times. Luckily, the driver was very experienced and the truck was specially designed for just this trip. The ice cave was incredible!!!! Unfortunately, we weren't able to do the second stop on the glacier due to the weather conditions...but it was still worth the tour.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your great review and praise for Driver and Guide. The drive in our specially designed Glacier monster truck is in better road conditions shorter, and winter came this year all in march! We are happy to hear that your family liked the ice cave. Kind regards, Sleipnir Glacier Tours Team

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Ice Cave and Glacier Tour in Glacier Monster Truck from Gullfoss: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Reykjavik.
How much does Ice Cave and Glacier Tour in Glacier Monster Truck from Gullfoss cost?
+
Prices start at $99 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Reykjavik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Ice Cave and Glacier Tour in Glacier Monster Truck from Gullfoss take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Reykjavik is not rushed.
Is Ice Cave and Glacier Tour in Glacier Monster Truck from Gullfoss worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 59 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Reykjavik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Ice Cave and Glacier Tour in Glacier Monster Truck from Gullfoss?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Ice Cave and Glacier Tour in Glacier Monster Truck from Gullfoss suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Ice Cave and Glacier Tour in Glacier Monster Truck from Gullfoss?
+
Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Reykjavik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Reykjavik and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Ice Cave and Glacier Tour in Glacier Monster Truck from Gullfoss start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Reykjavik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Reykjavik?
+
On Outty we rank every Reykjavik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Reykjavik Food Walk - Local Foodie Adventure in Iceland, Small-Group Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon with Ticket & Kerid Crater, Reykjavík Small group Walking Tour - by CityWalk. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Reykjavik?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Reykjavik?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
