We went on the speed boat trip and the crew were amazing, bacary was captain and basil was the snorkel guide. They did their upmost to make sure we had the best time possible and made sure we seen the dolphins and got to swim with them numerous times. This was the highlight of the day and the crew really topped off an unforgettable day out. Would highly recommend, one of the best experiences of my life !

Once in a life time experience

I went on a snorkelling trip and swimming with dolphins in July 2026 with go Shalabi. My captain was bacary and the guide was basil and they were absolutely brilliant! We couldn’t fault them at all, they took us out to see the dolphins and we jumped in and swam with them several times getting a great close up view of them. It was amazing and bacary and basil went the extra mile to make sure we got the best experience and i would highly recommend booking with go Shalabi. The trip was amazing and the crew made the trip top class. It was the highlight of my holiday by far and a once in a lifetime experience. James - July 2026

AMAZING MORNING TRIP

This trip was one of my favourite things i’ve done ever. Our two guides/ captains were AMAZING - Mostafa/ Mufasa was great and very reassuring. There was 8 of us in my family who went and we saw the dolphins, went snorkelling and saw the beautiful corals and fish. Then we went to white beach which was amazing clear waters and sand where you could stand up in the middle of the sea. Provide fruit platter and drinks and even let us have a go at driving the speedboat. Felt very safe the whole time. Transfers from hotel was efficient and easy. For this price it is a MUST Would Recommend 10 times!!!

Best thing we did in Egypt!!!!

We had an amazing snorkeling day and cannot recommend this trip highly enough! Bashir and our captain went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, comfortable, and safe throughout the entire experience. They took such great care of us and made the day truly unforgettable. The snorkeling was incredible. The coral reefs were beautiful, the fish were stunning, and the opportunity to swim with dolphins was an absolute dream come true. We also really appreciated the delicious fruit platter and refreshing beverages provided during the day. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. A huge thank you to Bashir and our captain for their professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail. If you are considering booking this excursion, do it! We hope you are lucky enough to have Bashir and our captain looking after you too. We would love to come back again someday! Jemma and Jamie

Worst possible day trip we have ever experienced

The minimum rating allowed is 1 star. If half a star were an option, that’s what this tour would receive. The day started badly and only got worse. We were kept waiting for 30 minutes in the blistering sun before departure, then once on the boat, we waited yet another 30 minutes with no shade, no air conditioning and temperatures around 35°C. The only reason this review isn’t even harsher is because we eventually found dolphins and were able to swim with them. That was genuinely the highlight of the day and briefly redeemed the experience. Unfortunately, everything after that went downhill fast. We spent hours in the sun with no food, drinks, or water proactively offered. At the final stop, which was advertised as a snorkelling location but wasn’t really suitable for snorkelling, we were left floating around while the crew spent 20–25 minutes preparing a platter of stale, flavourless fruit. Most people were too hot, tired, and frustrated to even eat it. When everyone agreed they were ready to return, the captain instead made additional unnecessary stops, including one to show a shipwreck and another to chat with relatives on nearby boats while taking photos and videos. By that point, everyone just wanted the tour to end. To top it all off, when we finally returned to the marina, our transport wasn’t waiting for us. We were forced to walk another 10 minutes in the heat to find the vehicle. Overall, this was easily the worst boat excursion we’ve ever been on. Poor organisation, excessive waiting, lack of basic hospitality, and complete disregard for guests’ comfort. The dolphins were fantastic, but they weren’t enough to save what was otherwise a very disappointing experience.

Hurghada Speedboat Dolphin Watching and Snorkeling: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hurghada.

How much does Hurghada Speedboat Dolphin Watching and Snorkeling cost?

+

Prices start at $20 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hurghada usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Hurghada Speedboat Dolphin Watching and Snorkeling take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hurghada is not rushed.

Is Hurghada Speedboat Dolphin Watching and Snorkeling worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hurghada, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Hurghada Speedboat Dolphin Watching and Snorkeling?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Hurghada Speedboat Dolphin Watching and Snorkeling suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Hurghada Speedboat Dolphin Watching and Snorkeling?

+

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hurghada can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hurghada and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Hurghada Speedboat Dolphin Watching and Snorkeling start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hurghada within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hurghada?

+

On Outty we rank every Hurghada experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hurghada: Luxor Valley of the Kings & Tutankhamun Tomb Trip, Orange Bay Island, Luxury Cruise to Orange Bay and Hula Hula island Trip. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hurghada?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hurghada?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
