Don’t bother
This was a bait and switch. The tour I signed up for months before was to include a vineyard picnic. - I have the booking confirm to prove this. There was no picnic on this tour. The “guide” was merely a driver. No information provided on the area. Pretty much complete silence for the very long drive. She did coordinate our lunch orders but that was all. One of the 3 vineyards visited was decent. One person at a vineyard talked so much that we ended up having to rush through the pours. Overall not a fun vibe , wouldn’t recommend.

Check the itinerary before booking
The winery stops were alright, I did enjoy the last one though. The one thing that could’ve made this trip a five star experience was the picnic at the end, which I did initially book this for. Although, the people that came along with us on the Saturday 10th of October tour made it worthwhile
via Viator
Unorganized, lacked planning and choice of good wineries to visit.
The driver said clearly that he is not a guide and doesn’t know wines. The second place we went did not know we were coming and scrambled to accommodate us. The third place the staff person was mostly interested in her time in the USA and what she did there. Overall we didn’t feel like we were there to learn about wine. The first place DID expect us and had some snacks lined up to pair with the wines. This was good.

Perfect day out
This day tour was the perfect experience for our friends birthday. Our driver Will was fantastic. The wineries were beautiful and the wine was good! Food at 4 pines was pretty sub par but we weren’t there for the food so it didn’t impact us really. 10/10 would do this again!

How long does Hunter Valley Wine Tour from Sydney: 3 Wineries & Lunch included take?

Is Hunter Valley Wine Tour from Sydney: 3 Wineries & Lunch included worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 39 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sydney, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hunter Valley Wine Tour from Sydney: 3 Wineries & Lunch included?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hunter Valley Wine Tour from Sydney: 3 Wineries & Lunch included suitable for kids and families?
+

How far in advance should I book Hunter Valley Wine Tour from Sydney: 3 Wineries & Lunch included?
+
Around 14 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sydney can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sydney and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sydney within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Sydney?
+
On Outty we rank every Sydney experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include WILD Wombat and Kangaroo Day Tour, All Inclusive, Chef-Led Hunter Valley Gourmet Food and Wine Day Tour from Sydney, Ultimate Sydney Walking Tour (Small-Group, Drink Included). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Sydney?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Sydney?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
