Amazing trip with our fantastic guide, Alex

Humantay Lake is easily one of the most gorgeous places that I have ever been!. Alex was an amazing tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, sincere, funny, and engaged with us. We woke up very early to start the hike before the crowds arrived, and the early start was absolutely worth it. The views are beautiful, and they are very accommodating when it comes to breakfast and lunch options. Overall a very cool place and from what our tour guide told us is relatively new. We enjoyed every moment of it.

Response from the operator: Dear Kashish, Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the beauty of Humantay Lake and that Alex made your day even more special with his knowledge, humor, and genuine care. We’re also glad the early start and meal options worked well for you. Thank you for choosing Planet Odysseys. We hope to welcome you again for another adventure in Peru! Warm regards, The Planet Odysseys Team

An Amazing Hike to Humantay Lake

Loved this place! One of the day treks known to expats from Cusco. The lake was stunning and there are many places to take photos without other people showing up on them. You have horse ride just in case if you don’t have to Hike uphill to the lake. You can spot birds, alpacas, cows and interesting plants along the way. Both breakfast and lunch were nice. We absolutely loved our trip and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a memorable, well organized, and enjoyable adventure.

Response from the operator: Dear Miku, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you loved your hike to Humantay Lake and enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the way. Amazing views and an amazing experience

A beautiful lake, a truly natural and lovely place, that definitely takes your breath away. The climb up there was quite an adventure because of the altitude. It is an absolute challenge to reach the lake, but once you do it immediately becomes worth it. The tour guide was very helpful, explained everything, and gave insights into the area. I highly recommend coming here, such a beautiful place!

Response from the operator: Dear Amit, Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the beauty of Humantay Lake and found the challenging hike worthwhile. The altitude certainly makes the journey an adventure, but reaching that incredible turquoise lake is a rewarding moment. We’re also glad that our guide was helpful and shared interesting insights about the area. Thank you for recommending Planet Odysseys, and we hope to welcome you again for another unforgettable experience in Peru! Warm regards, The Planet Odysseys Team

A perfect day hike with Edward

Had a trip of a lifetime with Edward, our guide. The hike was somewhat challenging towards the end but totally rewarding. They had an option of riding a horse to the summiot, but i preffered hiking. Edward shared many interesting facts about the local culture and beliefs. Highly recommend the tour and the tour company.

Response from the operator: Dear Jeniffer, Thank you so much for your beautiful review and for sharing your experience with us. We are truly delighted to know that your visit to Humantay Lake became such a special memory. The hike can definitely be challenging, especially near the final stretch, which makes reaching the lake even more rewarding. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the experience at your own pace and chose to complete the trek hiking. Edward will be very happy to know that his explanations about the local culture and Andean beliefs helped make the journey even more meaningful for you. Our guides genuinely enjoy sharing not only the landscapes of Peru, but also the traditions and stories behind them. Thank you once again for your recommendation and for choosing Planet Odysseys during your adventure in Cusco. Warm regards, Planet Odysseys Team

Humantay Lake Full Day Tour from Cusco with Meals Included: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does Humantay Lake Full Day Tour from Cusco with Meals Included cost?

+

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Humantay Lake Full Day Tour from Cusco with Meals Included take?

+

Plan for about 14 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is Humantay Lake Full Day Tour from Cusco with Meals Included worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Humantay Lake Full Day Tour from Cusco with Meals Included?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Humantay Lake Full Day Tour from Cusco with Meals Included suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 14-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Humantay Lake Full Day Tour from Cusco with Meals Included?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 14-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Humantay Lake Full Day Tour from Cusco with Meals Included start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

+

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
