Wonderful experience! Pick Fredy for your private tours

Freddy the tour guide and Juan the driver were too notch! We did a private tour. They stopped for bathroom breaks and breakfast and lunch, asked if we are ok, etc, changing the temperature, rolling the windows down up etc. just thought of us the entire way. When we got there. I took 16 ,165 steps, 29 flights of stairs, 6.61 miles in this altitude. He was patient kind and motivating that I could finish. He even stopped other tourists to motivate them. I felt safe and cared for, his service takes and picks you up at the hotel. Wonderful tour, private is defintely the way to go! He even offered other tours later in the week. Highly recommend!

Most Memorable Experience

The views were amazing and our lunch was wonderful. We had a perfect day with the clouds parting for some wonderful shots of the mountains. Freddy was an absolute treat, and made our experience a wonderful time filled with laughter and good conversation. 💯 recommend

Book it!

This experience is so special and I would absolutely recommend booking it. Communication was amazing - the reservation was confirmed, pickup time was confirmed, and communication morning of was great! I was the only English speaking person in my group and my guide William along with the group made me feel so included and welcomed. The trek is a bit tough but doable for the average person! If you don’t think you’re up for it, you can rent horses to go most of the way. The views were spectacular on the way up and at the top!

Wonderful experience

Accurate to the description, I was picked up on time from my hotel . The guide explained everything in detail, made sure no one is left behind on the whole hike . The breakfast and lunch which is included was really wonderful. Worth every penny.

Decent budget hike

Enjoyable hike and cool option to ride the horse; only critique is that the bus had very narrow seats and with bumpy roads caused pretty bad motion sickness (would recommend you bring motion sickness meds).

Humantay Lagoon Day Trip from Cusco: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does Humantay Lagoon Day Trip from Cusco cost?

+

Prices start at $32 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Humantay Lagoon Day Trip from Cusco take?

+

Plan for about 12.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is Humantay Lagoon Day Trip from Cusco worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 92 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Humantay Lagoon Day Trip from Cusco?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Humantay Lagoon Day Trip from Cusco suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Humantay Lagoon Day Trip from Cusco?

+

Around 32 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 12.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Humantay Lagoon Day Trip from Cusco start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

+

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals, Excursion to Rainbow Mountain Full Day Optional Red Valley. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
