Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An sightseeing guided tour 2 days or vice versa

GOOD TRIP FROM HUE TO HOI AN

The first day was great, the guide and the driver came to pick up me to the airport and we visited all the different places highlighted in the tour. The guide was really competent and we spent a great day together. The second day in my view can be improved. The driver and the guide will bring you to visit Da Nang that is a big and modern city without really typical places. Also marble mountain is quite touristic and I didn’t like it. It could be an improvement to visit the golden bridge instead of the marble mountain and go straight to Hoi An that is a really beautiful gem of vietnam

Out of this world experience

What a fantastic day. Mr Tom our tour guide made our experience amazing, his English was great and his driving made us feel very safe. we chose to do this tour on Christmas Day and was not disappointed. The views are out of this world! Exceeded our expectations by far and great value for money. The best tour/experience yet. thanks Mr Tom and his boss for accommodating our journey!

Take it slow! We have lots of time :)

Mr. Tom took such good care of us. We called in the morning, and Mr. Tom drive from Hue to pick us up in Da Nang by 13:00 that day! He was so much fun, very knowledgeable, had good recommendations on food, and great sense of humor. Oh my Buddha what a trip!

Seat belts or English speaking

After the fabulous reviews, I was expecting this to be a highlight of our time in Vietnam. Instead, on Day One (Tour of Hue) our driver spoke little English. He knew the names of destinations and could tell us when/where he'd meet us again through gesturing, but that was it. It turns out the regular driver had phoned a friend to replace him. The vehicle was modern, expertly driven, and had seat belts (see photo). We contacted the business owner. He apologised, offered us a $US50 refund, and promised Day Two would be better. Day Two the driver turns up with only rudimentary English, a tidy but aged van, and no seat belts. We weren't prepared to drive six hours on narrow, windy roads with young children and no seat belts (our children are on boosters and get motion sick, so needed that view out the window). We were then given the choice of "no seat belts and minimal English", or "an hour's wait, seat belts and no English". We opted for the latter and were given complementary drinks while waiting for a replacement vehicle. Again the vehicle was modern, well-driven and had seat belts. So, in summary, there were two missteps. They did their best to remedy the situation which is why I've given them an Average rating despite failing to deliver English speaking drivers on both days. Tip: We paid $US5 each for lunch at their cafe - we would have been better to order a la carte. The food was tasty and the iced coffee decent, but to set expectations the cafe was truly rustic, backpacker style.

Response from the operator: Dear Chikiwisg, tripadvisor readers Thanks for your time to review us on Tripadvisor, We would like to say sorry about the driver, as the reason we told you about him, he was sick suddenly 1 day before your trip starting, so he asked his friend to drive the van, we did not know about it, he did not tell us about this, so after this problem, we have choosen another driver to change for him and now he is no more working in our company. We have said "SORRY" to you, offered a big refund and gave free drinks, it was the true that we had to change another van with new driver in 30-40 minutes, because all english speaking driver were busy during that time and we had no time to arrange a driver who can speaks good english for your trip.
