Beautiful horses and scenery
We loved getting to meet and spend time with Yunuen and his 2 kiddos. Super sweet family. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate. It rained the entire day. We still rode the horses but didn’t get the full experience due to slippery conditions. We were thankful that Yunuen cut the ride short for our safety. Lunch and drinks after were delicious! We had a yummy Mexican soup that warmed us up followed by a delicious Mexican bbq. I would recommend this tour 10/10. I hope to do it again when it’s not raining. Yunuen told us that we can reach out for a free reschedule the next time we’re in town which we thought was a very nice offer!

A great day spent riding around on the horses and then relaxing at the beautiful stables.
A wonderful day spent riding the horses and relaxing on the beautiful grounds of the stables. Good food and a great relaxing atmosphere after the ride. An awesome guide and nice horses. 10/10 will repeat next visit to Mexico City.

Excellent Horseback Riding Tour
This was an excellent day out in nature, riding horses in a private ranch and enjoying the views. Yuni is very knowlegeable about horses and led us through a tranquil pathway around the property. We were able to see other horses and sheep. Lunch was also excellent, with a special mention to Ana's delicious cinammon coffee, a real treat. It is an excellent option a short drive away from the city.

Ripped Off
I was ripped off. The guide cancelled last minute with illness as an excuse. He said he would refund me and did not. Do not book with this guy.
Response from the operator: You got the refund. We have confirmation from TripAdvisor. Please confirm if you got it. If so, it would be great if you could delete this review, as this doesn't reflect you experience with us, the tour was canceled because of illness, it was not an excuse. Disappointed
The guide canceled when I was on my way to the meeting point at the last minute purportedly due to illness. He mentioned he'd been sick for a couple of days but never bothered to update his availability. My refund has also been delayed. I couldn't reschedule due to my flight plans. I was left very disappointed with the lack of professionalism. I would recommend finding another option if in the area.

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Horseback, Culture & Mexican Flavors Experience: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does Horseback, Culture & Mexican Flavors Experience cost?
+
Prices start at $220 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Horseback, Culture & Mexican Flavors Experience take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is Horseback, Culture & Mexican Flavors Experience worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 67 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Horseback, Culture & Mexican Flavors Experience?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Horseback, Culture & Mexican Flavors Experience suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Horseback, Culture & Mexican Flavors Experience?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Horseback, Culture & Mexican Flavors Experience start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
