One of my favorite experiences in Mexico so far!
The best experience from start to finish! The horses and all of the other animals seem very well looked after. Miguel is very knowledgeable and great rider which made me feel very comfortable even though I lack riding skills. The landscape is absolutely beautiful and the horses were all really gentle which made for a lovely riding experience. Augustin’s cooking is amazing! I loved everything he made for us. The rooms for overnight stays are absolutely beautiful too and the bed was so comfy! Above all Miguel and Augustin were really kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend this experience :)

Unforgettable Experience!
This was my second time doing this hacienda tour, and honestly, I’d do it a third without hesitation. Out of all the experiences I’ve had from Mexico City, this one stands out—not just for the setting but for how it makes you feel. The first time, I went solo. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but by the end of the day, I felt like I’d stumbled onto something special. So when the chance came to go again, this time with my girlfriend, I didn’t think twice. We joined a small group of eight, and once again, the experience felt warm, personal and unforgettable. Miguel, our host, sets the tone. He’s thoughtful and professional, striking the right balance between being present and giving guests space to enjoy the experience. There’s an ease to the way he welcomes you in, as if you’re an old friend, not a tourist. And then there’s the food. Breakfast was simple, honest and completely delicious. A tamal full of flavor, freshly baked artesanal bread, and a hot cup of coffee in the courtyard of a quiet hacienda where time seems to slow down. If you’re craving something that feels rooted in history, in culture, in real hospitality.. this is the kind of experience that stays with you. 5/5 Stars

Best horseback riding experience near Mexico City!
We had an amazing experience at the ranch and Haciendas! The land is beautiful, the horses are very well trained, and Miguel and his family are incredibly kind with a rich family history. The home made food was also delicious! Highly recommend.

Horseback Riding through Mexican Haciendas: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does Horseback Riding through Mexican Haciendas cost?
+
Prices start at $2700 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Horseback Riding through Mexican Haciendas take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is Horseback Riding through Mexican Haciendas worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Horseback Riding through Mexican Haciendas?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Horseback Riding through Mexican Haciendas suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 14. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Horseback Riding through Mexican Haciendas?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Horseback Riding through Mexican Haciendas start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
