Great experience

Although there were some obastacles (The pick up organisation was a bit rocky, monastery was closed for the day), we managed to have an amazing experience. A few tips before going on this trip: the Bedouins will try to sell you ponchos or rent out blankets close to the summit claiming that the temperatures are freezing. However, I managed with just a t-shirt (in mid July) but some might find it a bit chilly up there, just bring a hoodie or a light fleece sweater. Bring a lot of water with you and a head torch for a more hands-free experience. The icons at the gallery right when you arrive in St.Catherine’s are outrageously priced, try buying them at the monastery or at one of the local’s shops right outside the security checkpoint. Enjoy!

Response from the operator: Thank you Mr. Andrej about your amazing review and we wish you happy with us , and i hope you understand about monastery was closed this is not in our hand i hope you book with us anther experience ( dar el salaam tour ) and we be great and good with you thank you

Sunrise arabian beach resort in sharm el-Sheikh

I went to sunrise arabian beach resort. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Its nice to meet to Ali in reception who is so caring and friendly and helpful. In main restaurant Khalid who was like my little brother who knew what we like and he is there and always smiling. In Indian restaurant parminder who ask us every morning what we like to eat for dinner and he made it for us he made us feel that we are at our second home. And all the staff help us so much with our mum who is disabled. We loved it so much we were there twice within month. And hopefully going back in October with big family. To see our second family in sunrise arabian beach resort.

Response from the operator: thank so much and wish book with us again very soon

Honest company, quick response to last minute cancellation.

We had to do a last minute cancellation due to an issue and the company worked tirelessly with us to help coordinate a cancellation even though it was outside the regular window. We really appreciated their understanding and willingness to help us navigate the cancellation process. Prior to the cancellation, Natalia, was very quick to respond to questions, make suggestions regarding what to pack and even texted to remind us to order our breakfast boxes the day of our trip. Finding a reputable company can sometimes be daunting when looking for tours but this company really stood out in how quickly they communicated and the transparency. Natalia insured we were connected to her supervisor Talaat who has helped us navigate planning tours with them out of Cairo and made sure our cancellation went seamlessly. 10/10 recommended

holy mount sinai climb & St Catherine monastery: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sharm el Sheikh.

How much does holy mount sinai climb & St Catherine monastery cost?

+

Prices start at $30 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sharm el Sheikh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does holy mount sinai climb & St Catherine monastery take?

+

Plan for about 16 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Sharm el Sheikh is not rushed.

Is holy mount sinai climb & St Catherine monastery worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sharm el Sheikh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule holy mount sinai climb & St Catherine monastery?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is holy mount sinai climb & St Catherine monastery suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 16-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book holy mount sinai climb & St Catherine monastery?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sharm el Sheikh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sharm el Sheikh and add a light layer if any part of the 16-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does holy mount sinai climb & St Catherine monastery start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sharm el Sheikh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sharm el Sheikh?

+

On Outty we rank every Sharm el Sheikh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sharm El Sheikh: Ras Mohammed Snorkeling, Allah Gate & Top Sights, ATV Quad Bike & Camel Ride, Echo Mountain – Sharm El Sheikh, Sharm : Cairo Excursion by Flight, Pyramid GEM or Ancient Museum. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sharm el Sheikh?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sharm el Sheikh?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
