Fantastic trip , long drive
We were picked up from our resort in a comfortable minibus. Upon arriving at Jemaa el-Fna Square, we waited for approximately 20 minutes before additional passengers joined the vehicle. We commenced our journey, only to encounter an unexpected bus change. We were asked to move to a larger but more cramped bus with limited legroom. As more passengers boarded, the bus became overcrowded, prompting the removal of a few individuals to create space. At this point, we expressed our dissatisfaction with the trip organization and planning. Fortunately, we were transferred to a third bus, which was far more spacious and comfortable. The driver demonstrated exceptional skills, and the trip turned out to be remarkable. We made several stops along the way, during which the driver provided valuable information without excessive chatter. Despite the initial challenges, the 11-hour journey proved to be worthwhile. The roads were generally smooth, although we encountered a few roadblocks due to fallen rocks. The driver remained composed and safely returned us to our resort.

Amazing even though the long drive
I recently embarked on the "Hollywood of Morocco" day trip to Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou, and it was an extraordinary adventure that exceeded my expectations.

9 hours by bus
Has been a very good experience, I don’t suggest to anyone to do this trip for a day because there’re 9 hours by bus and is insane something like that.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback Nestor We do appreciate your time to rate your experience with us. The tour description states exactly the length of the journey to and from Ouarzazate, and your rating is based on that which we don’t think that it’s fair as we have provided the tour as described. We also offer a two days trip to ouarzazate with an overnight, which is an option for people who are looking for the minimum driving per day. We would like to thank you again for providing your feedback for our future travellers. Lahcen

Fantastic Architecture and Vistas
This was a stop on our 10-day bus tour of Morocco, and it was a highlight. A UNESCO world heritage site, this is one of the largest kasbahs in Morocco, a virtual rabbit warren of red clay residences and colurful shops (you will not be harassed). The crenellated towers are a sight to behold, and the view from the top of the hill of the town and the Atlas mountains is breathtaking. Many films, including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator, have been shot here for good reason. We lingered in the actual arena where Maximus fights his first gladiatorial duel for Proximus. Wonderful experience.

Why this scores 61
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hollywood of Morocco: 1 Day Trip to Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Marrakech.
How much does Hollywood of Morocco: 1 Day Trip to Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou cost?
+
Prices start at $50 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Marrakech usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hollywood of Morocco: 1 Day Trip to Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Marrakech is not rushed.
Is Hollywood of Morocco: 1 Day Trip to Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Marrakech, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hollywood of Morocco: 1 Day Trip to Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hollywood of Morocco: 1 Day Trip to Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 12-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Hollywood of Morocco: 1 Day Trip to Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Marrakech can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Marrakech and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hollywood of Morocco: 1 Day Trip to Ouarzazate and Ait Benhaddou start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Marrakech within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Marrakech?
+
On Outty we rank every Marrakech experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Agafay Desert Quad Bike Camel Ride and Dinner Show, Best Marrakech to Fes Sahara Desert Tour with Camp & Camel Trek, 3 Day Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour Camel Rides and Overnight. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Marrakech?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Marrakech?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
