Excellent food tour! Local spots with a friendly face
My friend and I are traveling though Southeast Asia for several weeks, and we’ve been on three food tours now in different cities. John stands out for his humor, friendliness, and his English. He offered us a walking tour and one by motorbike; we opted for the one on bike. He guided us to some local family businesses where we learned about the noodles and bean sprouts that we later ate. It was a nice cultural bonus, unexpected for a food tour. John took us off the beaten path and away from crowded and touristy Old Town to places with tiny plastic stools and locals, only locals. He even helped arrange a motorbike tour up to Hue the following day. Sign of a guy in the know, in my opinion, that he can be sort of a one-stop shop for tours all over the region. I couldn’t recommend John strongly enough, and you’d be silly not to go with him.
