A Must-Do Cultural Experience in Hoi An!
This tour was an absolute highlight of our time in Hoi An and is truly a must-do if you want to experience the real heart and soul of the region. We were lucky that it was just myself and my husband on the tour, so it felt like a very personal, private experience. Our guide, Ting, was fantastic, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tour so enjoyable. The e-bike ride itself was fantastic, cruising along quiet roads through rice paddies made the journey just as enjoyable as the destinations. What made this tour so special was the opportunity to witness traditional craftsmanship that has been passed down through generations. Seeing these skills firsthand is something you simply cannot appreciate from photos or videos, you need to experience it. The pottery demonstration was incredible, especially watching an 80-year-old woman expertly crafting pottery lids completely by hand, no wheel needed! It was also fascinating to watch a local artisan making clay by hand using materials sourced directly from the riverbank. They even give you the opportunity to spin the wheel and have a go at the pottery yourself, which was such a fun experience. The rice paper making was equally extraordinary. The woman running the family business was so kind and patient, even attempting to teach me her craft. Despite any language barriers, the warmth, pride, and passion of the artisans truly shone through, it was something you could feel without words. We also loved the wood carving stop, the level of talent was amazing, and the niece who spoke with us had the most vibrant and engaging personality, making the experience even more memorable. This tour offers a rare glimpse into everyday life and traditional industries that are still very much alive. The kindness of the people and their pride in their work left a lasting impression on us. Highly recommend! Don’t miss this experience if you’re in Hoi An!

Phenomenal E-Bike Tour w/ Tea
Tea was warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and a tour guide who's flexible to the desires of the people on the ride with her. Being raised in the local area and willing to share those experiences added another layer of Hoi An culture to the tour. The people we met along the way we're very kind and generous with their time and artwork. What an amazing way to meet the people living in rural Hoi An.

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Hoi An Makers Tour by E-Bike: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hoi An.
How much does Hoi An Makers Tour by E-Bike cost?
+
Prices start at $105 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hoi An usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Hoi An Makers Tour by E-Bike take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hoi An is not rushed.
Is Hoi An Makers Tour by E-Bike worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hoi An, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Hoi An Makers Tour by E-Bike?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Hoi An Makers Tour by E-Bike suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Hoi An Makers Tour by E-Bike?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hoi An can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hoi An and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Hoi An Makers Tour by E-Bike start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hoi An within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hoi An?
+
On Outty we rank every Hoi An experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include HOI AN Hidden Gems in Rural Villages & River Islands PRIVATE TOUR, Coconut Jungle Eco & Hoi An City Tour With Boat Ride, Cooking Class Hoi An:Local Market, Basket Boat, Fishing & Cooking. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hoi An?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hoi An?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
